I think we have talked about Jericho in the past, but for those not familiar, he is a WWE wrestler and lead singer of the band Fozzy. He was on the Eddie Trunk radio interview with Axl Rose back in '06. Glad to see he approves of CD.

I must admit myself i wasnt really into new GNR (or heard much about them due to the fact i didnt have internet) until a year before CD was released.

so i was still in a state of "old GNR" you could say. I wasnt really prepared for the sound of CD. in fact i scrolled through the songs on GNR's myspace page hoping "well maybe this one will sound like old GNR" and as i kept scrolling down "this one has to sound like old GNR!" and finally got to prostitute " This must be sleazy!" :rofl-lol:

but as i listened more and more, i liked it. then i loved it and still do. but it took me awhile to shake off the old Guns N Roses vibe.

thats my story with CD. i know alot of people ended up listening to it once and said the same things i said at first listen. and thats a shame.

The reason this is a big deal is because, aside from being a wrestler, Jericho had his own radio show on sat for some time... not sure if he still does, but positive comments reach listeners, so it's only a good thing for the album. I think it's going to, in the long run, wind up being one of the more under-rated albums around once the dust settles and people stop judging it based on the amount of time it took for it to come out and the money spent (neither of which are fair criticisms; one the one side you had lawsuits, and the rebuilding of a band, on the other, you had more songs than what we've seen recorded).

If we believe Jericho on this does that mean we believe him about the vibe sniffing? Seems weird he would just magically make that up when he is clearly an Axl fan.

Can we lose the phrase "vibe sniffing" from this thread?

Those of us who are pervs keep cracking a grin every time we read it.

Checked the aura? Felt the mood of the room? Something? Anything?

Axl Rose greatest front man in the history of rock...... Axl dont need CJ to help GnR with sales... Axl needs to come out of his shell !!!!! People will be all over Gnr just like the early 90s........... rock3 rock1

Thats fn great to hear that one of the best known superstars of wrestling is giving props to CD. Rock on YFJ! :thumbsup:

Wrestler means fake sport........ Dont get to excited for sauced up clowns man................. :confused:

Wrestling means entertainment. ITs planned and so what? I have respect for Jericho and I think its cool what he said. I will get excited and dont tell me when or when not to be excited. :tongue2:

I often feel there are a lot of younger newer fans that wish they experience & discovered GnR in their heyday...but i actually envy the new fans. Part of me wishes i could experience CD and GnR from Chinese democracy alone (and the few tours they did before it). I genuinely envy this fact as i'd love to see my thoughts on the music that way.

Anyways CD kinda rules, as does old GnR, don't need no wrestler to verify it for me :)
