SpUd_Jr
It must be very frustrating for the contestants to constantly have to watch performers who are far worse vocalists than they are.

axlslash
once again the better idol came up second. this show fails every season. No, they just give the record contract to the one less likely to have a great career anyway. Lambert lost and is a MUCH bigger deal right now than Kris Allen or whatever his name was. Crystal will have a perfectly fine career. DeWize or whoever he is will probably fizzle Clay Aiken-style, but at least he's an "American Idol"I loved seeing Bret out there. Every Rose is far from my favorite Poison song, but it was a perfect comeback song. Hope he gets healthy real soon and gets back on the road! tat2d1
I'll probably catch hell for this, but I don't care. As someone who knows a bit about the type of hemorrhage Bret supposedly had, I don't think it was that type of hemorrhage. I'm not saying that I don't think the dude has had some health concerns, but I think his health issues may have been exaggerated. IF he really did have what they say he had, I don't see a doctor clearing him to tour this summer, and he'd be best to take the rest of the year off & relax. Stay home, focus on being a good dad to those little girls. Otherwise, if he pushes himself, he'll be dead within a year.

Don't you think it's a little soon for him to be walking onto American Idol just 2 days after that? Like, really? At first I was hoping the guy would pull through, but it's all the press and the short amount of time he was recovering that is making me skeptical of this whole thing. dalsh327
Bret's always had a good work ethic, and the music served its purpose - to entertain and annoy. I'm sure Axl laughs about him using the bandannas these days, I actually watched Oprah and he was in the hospital and had it on. What's funny is that there are people who confuse "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" and "Patience", based on this conversation I was overhearing. I've heard this more than once. They couldn't figure out who sang what song. Both songs were 20-something years ago, all you can do is laugh about it now.
Nick83
I love Brett Michaels. I am not a fan of Poison, and don't know much about his other music, so I can't say I am a fan of that, but as a person, I really like him. You can tell he is a really good guy, dedicated to his fans, and he has a great personality. He's very witty, funny, and down to earth. It's easy for some people to think this is all a publicity stunt, but it's not. The guy had a hemorrhage, he has a hole in his heart, and he is a diabetic. You can't just make that stuff up or exaggerate it. And you can see the effects. One side of his mouth isn't moving right, and he is walking with a slow limp. This stuff is all real, and you've got to admire his story and cheer him on. So, I am really happy to see that he is doing well, and I hope that he is able to stay healthy and be around us for a long time.
