Getizzyback Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 BON SCOTT IS BACK!!!!!!!!Check these guys out Quote
chevelle Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 (edited) Yay, a band beating a horse that's been dead for about 20 years. You'd think they'd clone a band that's a bit more relevant these days than AC/DC. Edited July 6, 2010 by chevelle Quote
American Psycho Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 ACDC I Feel bad for band's like these, they will always be a tribute band even when they arent, sad but true Quote
JAC185 Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 The guitarist is even pulling a few Angus moves while the other fella looks like Malcolm up until the vocals start. Mental. Quote
TheFormerSoul Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Is it a little ironic that the album title is 21'st century rock? Quote
CheapJon Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 wow, these are some bad copiesairbourne rocks though Quote
coolio GNR Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 If I just heard an audio track of his, I might have actually thought that it is AC/DC. Quote
Getizzyback Posted July 7, 2010 Author Posted July 7, 2010 Not bad but they wil never get out of the shadow of AC/DC..They are not the first to mimic Bon Scott era AC/DCcheck out a band called Rhinobucket from the late 80's.......sound like Bon Scott era outtakes.................Come on, even the guy in Rhinobucket don't sound like Bon as much as this kid does. He's got 'em down pretty good, the Rhinobucket dude (his name eludes me starts with a W I believe) really hasmore of his own style that is simular to Bon's, and the same goes for Airbourne, but this guy is actually imitating him.Don't like Rhinobucket AT ALL, but I like these guys, they seem to have the Powerage sound the best, they should be '78... Zint Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 No cardigan wearing, nerd glasses, indie snobs with scruffy beards in this band!...wtf! At least they wanna rock out...too bad they sound like that. Quote
artfromtex Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 you know, if i happened into a bar one night and '77 was playin'; i'd dig it. but as far as buying an album or following this band in any way? i can't see the point. not unless they came up with something WAY more original than that. they sound good and if you like it, that's great. not tryin' to piss in anyone's Cheerios. just givin' my $.02. Guest Len B'stard Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Whats wrong with AC/DC? I realise thats not what this threads about but unless i kinda misunderstood a coupla posts up there were having a pop at them, i really like em.. Quote
LightningBolt Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 (edited) Whats wrong with AC/DC? I realise thats not what this threads about but unless i kinda misunderstood a coupla posts up there were having a pop at them, i really like em..It's not a matter of disliking AC/DC but more along the lines of bands like this and Airbourne having pretty much the same exact sound and will never be thought of as much more than an AC/DC tribute band.EDIT: The only post that really looks like a pop at AC/DC is someone who said they weren't relevent. The rest are shots at this band. Edited July 7, 2010 by LightningBolt Quote
Lithium Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 What a wonderful breath of fresh air this music is. This is exactly what we need more of. Quote
Getizzyback Posted July 8, 2010 Author Posted July 8, 2010 I guess it's a lot like when an impersonator like Dana Carvey does George Bush or when Jim Carrey did Chuck Woolery. They were showing off, like, hey, look what I can do.....I look at these guys in the same way, copycats but entertaining none the less. sweetness Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 that lead guitarist needs a serious ass kicking, holy shitI wonder what AC/DC themselves think of this shit, would be interesting to find out Quote
