Axl Knows
Why? Because a few PC liberals might feel a little butthurt? The song isn't racist anyway, but are you saying great music should be ignored/not played/censored because it may have racist undertones? SunnyDRE
It's a good song.I think it's the worse song he ever wrote. It almost sounds like something you would read on a white supremacist site...or some of the posts here for that matter. It rationalize's and preaches intolerance.......makes it seem acceptable.A better name for the song would have been, "My shit don't stink." Guest gunns5
Axl should just say naggers instead, and then everyone would be happy

SunnyDRE
Why? Because a few PC liberals might feel a little butthurt? Not PC liberals, but blacks and gays, who are fans of the band. The song isn't racist anyway, but are you saying great music should be ignored/not played/censored because it may have racist undertones?'The song is racist and it definitely isn't great. And I'm not saying that all - but what I am saying is if Guns n' Roses, wants to be a band that preaches racism, homophobia, and intolerance than they can fuck off, along with the fans that think that sorta music/art is cool. Guest Satanisk_Slakt
Excellent song. I love it. The lyrics are unfortunate. I've got no problems with it, but it was obviously a very clumsy lyric. Could have been a big hit if he had rewritten the verses. Please Sunny, tell us what you think about white people. I'm sure the moderators wont mind. Edited July 18, 2010 by Satanisk_Slakt
inthisriver
The black person word and the stuff about immigrants and persons doesn't really bother me, I just don't think it's that great of a song. LIes in general was a pretty shitty ep.

Rick
Performing it wouldn't be very smart. And because of that, it'll never happen again.I'd go along with this. It'd cause havoc, and that's the last thing we need now, things are going great.Rick.
Axl Knows
It's a great song and one of my favourites but come on "Police and N*ggers"? "Immigrants and F*ggots"? It has no place being performed live these days purely for this reason. It's a very powerful song and very evocative of its time but that time was over 20 years ago.I disagree. I think it's even more relevant in today's climate. I mean, we're talking about an age where if you use the "F" word in reference to gays, you need to go to rehab and take therapy so that your career doesn't end up going down the drain. People can't even make a few racially charged jokes without some PC idiot getting outraged. It's like, "Hey, don't you understand, it's humour you dumb PC fucks, so stop whining". The police are as corrupt as ever. I'd love to see Axl sing this if only to see how riled up the pseudo-liberal, bleeding hearts among us would get. wasted
I don't see it as a manifesto of hate, it's more like the emotions/what you think/could think in certain situation. Everyone was so down with the street talk and drug references but probably reality of the street is much more brutal scary than that. And even considering that the song comments on it's own content, like he says don't know right from wrong, then has the voice of friends etc at end. It's brutally honest. Then you put it in context of rap songs and songs like Cop Killer or the era, there seems like a certain level of who can be more shocking. It's offensive, yes but not sure it's worse than other stuff out there. Stand up comics say offensive stuff all the time just to get a reaction. It's on Lies! The one with tabloid cover. It's a bit obvious really. To me it's like GNR's The Future by Cohen. They said repent I wonder what they meant.
Screamin' Demon
" he'll probably add "bastards and fuckups." That's actually really cool, it'll definitely make it in the lyrics of one of my band's songs
Guest Apollo
Are racists post allowed on this board now? Can someone clarify this for me, please.Cause, if so there are some things I've been wanting to post about white people for the longest. You don't have to say anything about "white people".....everybody on the forum knows that you and Ebony consistently make negative post specifically trying to stir up racist emotions. You are a college student, making 50 grand a year......you should be setting an example for kids. Preach hope, not hate...So axl is a homophobic racist. But you constantly bring race into every issue. You use the word "retard" as an insult. And about a month ago you tried to "insult" me by saying I was a homosexual. What's the difference between you and your view of Axl then? Saying somebody is "gay" as an insult is no different than using the word f*ggot. I never said that. But you constantly bring race into every issue. If you say so...I don't think so; I think I just simply point out all the racist shit, people like you post, to which there is alot. You use the word "retard" as an insult. So **shrugs**And about a month ago you tried to "insult" me by saying I was a homosexual.I did no such thing. And for the record Apollo, since you are obviously obessed with my personal life, I'm not in school anymore. HB3
Sunny, I don't understand why you're on this forum. If you hate Guns and Axl so much then why do you continue to post on here? I'm just curious. Do you enjoy antagonizing the band this forum is dedicated to? If you only care about classic Guns then just go post in that section of the forum. It's very clear that you just make people upset and then this forum seems more hostile than friendly. Are you waiting for Axl to rant about you like he did about your precious Madison? Though it's always amusing to see the reasons why you bash GN'R (though they're usually the same reasons stated over and over again), it gets old very quickly. So why do you post on here? It's a serious question.
