I'm making a buy now button. hosted on paypal. but i need some information to be passed through the form to the confirmation page.for example on the "buy now" page i'll give the customer a reference number, the user will then go to paypal to pay, and when they come back to the confirmation page i will want that reference number.the only way i can figure how to do this is to use the paypal html variable "custom". Can anyone tell me if i'm wrong?also because the ref number is different for every customer, i can't "hard code" it into the button paypal is hosting for me. so is it ok to just throw in a line with the custom variable into the form code?
