There is a presale for the Perth concert on right now. It's not a Visa one it's for Kwinana Motorplex Members. I got an email about it only about 2 hours before the presale happened. I went drag racing down there once (they have something called Whoop Ass Wednesday where the public can go down and race their mates on the drag strip). As part of that I must have got on some mailing list or some shit.

The presale for Motorplex Members ends on Sunday then on Monday there is another presale for god knows who?? then the general sale for the public starts on Teusday.

It doesn't appear to have any extra charge - total cost $142 (inclusive of booking fee). Just finalised my order then.

Maybe you could shed some light on where the band will play on the map

Your guess would be as good as mine - somehwere inside the complex. Maybe as you suggested in the middle of the circular speedway track?

To the best of my knowledge as well as a few other people I have asked, there has never been a concert held at that venue. That's why I thought it was so bizzare when it was chosen.

Says for Adelaide it starts at 7pm. How long do Korn or any support act like them (or for a GnR show generally) do they play for, and what time might GnR come out - and finish? Just curious; not that I have to get anywhere after.

Nice to see Axl is promoting the Greatest Hits album in the corner instead of CD. (Bottom Right hand corner)

Yeah - 'cos I'm sure Axl drew the poster!!

If the posters are from street presses then it's usual practice and probably choose greatest hits because it would appeal the most

Here's another full tour poster

I think I have worked out where they will probably have the concert at the venue in Perth. I spoke to a mate who said he saw a couple of local bands there about 5 years ago. They set up the stage at the very start of the drag strip and everyone basically stood down the drag strip to watch it plus the tiered seating on either side. Seems like it might be quite intimate for an outdoor gig.

Not to state the fuckin' obvious but surely you'd be promoting Chinese Democracy, on the fuckin' Chinese Democracy Tour. If GnR were doing a GH Tour, knowing it he'd get slaughtered for calling it The Greatest Hits Tour. That'd lead to the accusations of the new music absolutely sucking balls because he doesn't want people to know about it.

I think the same for Townsville

Because Pitt lane balcony looks over the pit so it would seem most likely

Just caught an ad here in Adelaide on the Go TV station for the show. At least they used some recent footage and some awesome pyro behind DJ for about three seconds in slow-motion. Cool!

This tour is endless then?!

US in 2011 is a safe bet I think.

I honestly hope so. It's fucking ridiculous that all these tours have been outside of the United States. I have to imagine its because Axl can still pull a crowd in Europe and Asia. Imagine the look on his face if he plays the TD Garden in Boston and there's 7k people there? I think he sees that staring him in the face hence the hesitation to tour the US.
