wheres u2?

i heard that they earn hundreds of milllions

U2???? lmao, the stage alone is worth 60 Millions... each "leg" of "the Spider" costs 15 millions...

estimate figures are 800 Million by the end of the Tour.... U2 always been and aways will be the pioneers in that area, there's no doubt

You obviously don't get out much. Look up Pink Floyd. When it comes to stage shows, they were the pioneers. Still are (see Waters). U2's show is a firecracker compared to Floyd's nuclear weapon of a stage show... known as the "Division Bell Tour".

what was so "new" about that tour besides using the available technology at the time?

U2's sound system, stage designs/concept, this been going on for years...

Pearl Jam hasn't had a hit in years, how the hell are they that big a draw?

It seems to me that in recent years they've become really popular among older audience. As in middle aged old. They somehow have this classic rebel vibe but it's tame enough to be palatable for even the most casual, older rock fans.

And they probably give good concerts.

Still respectable sales for NuGnR but according to the article not one of the Latin America shows they list sold out.. total available tickets= 199,991 actually sold= 120,022....60% capacity...I thought all these shows sold out down there?

Only six of about 15 shows on that leg are listed there.

Thats fn impressive! With no big promo, no video, etc. I say the public still and always will have an itch for Guns N Roses!

Is 60% attendance really that impressive?? almost have the concert venue is empty...

ignorance is a sin too.

as ali said. they didn't list all the shows

That is true but they only sold 60% of their tickets for a 5 show stretch on the Latin tour, which is 1/3 of that leg of the tour, is making me doubt that they sold out all those shows down there people are claiming.......Hard to beleive after only selling 60% of the tickets for that stretch that they suddenly sold out the rest of the Latin tour shows...If I was the suspicious type it would make me think some NuGnR fans here were stretching the truth a little on the attendance numbers.... ;)

Well you would think that, because your a prick

It sthe same deal here in the states back in 2002, 2006. Some venues are packed, others not so much. I'll tell you this in Chile, guns and metallica are still HUGE. Those folks love 80's hard rock and metal to this day.
