Aussiegun
Korn were good I guess - pretty much played their well known songs and the sound wasn't awful, but they should probably upgrade their gear.GNR were good. IMO they were better in 2007, but I think It had something to do the crowd and the sound. Compared to 07, the date, time, support, location were different, so this would've been the main influence. The crowd were more of the bogan pisshead crowd and weren't that loud, and I feel that Korn were louder than Guns. The setlist was pretty much the same. I was hoping that being the last night they would go all Japan show on us With the Axl lip synching thing - I know that he wouldn't sync a whole show, and he does have some back up vocal track on some songs, but I do feel that on some songs he could be synching the song or parts of a song. Either that or the oxygen tank does some wierd things, because sometimes he comes back on stage and fucking kills it, or comes back on stage and sounds like he is 80. And then if he sings a few in a row he is inconsistant with voice. Maybe it was the sound in general, Im not sure..Ashba is great acquisition. Not technically a master, but a good showman and someone who is easy to warm to. Sometimes he hams it up too much, but yeah, Axl doesn't seem to mind. Bumbelfoot certainly took the back seat but was still great. Kudos to Tommy for coming back to back to Perth after a funeral. All in all a good show, though if you had've been to the 07 shows, you wouldn't have missed much. bumblerose
i was front row, axl didnt lip sync once, he only had the backing vocal track on top of his like in madagascar. Axl sounded great but the first half of the show sounded bad and the guitars were muted too much. i went to sydney gig and thought it was way better, not saying this was a bad show because it wasnt, but sydney was 10x better. the crowd were quite and not shouting jumping, full off dickhead korn fans all shouting wheres slash. on the up side there were tons of hot chicks there. Guest gunns5
I was down the front (right at the front, on the barrier) and i can tell you 100% Axl wasn't lip syncing.Yes he had the backup vocal track to sing the parts he doesn't usually sing (eg in madagascar) but no lip syncing. Aussiegun
Axl lip syn, give me a fn break! I guess whatever makes people talk trash.I wasn't trying to talk trash. It was mentioned in the Townsville thread, so I kept some attention to it.Bumblerose is right though, the sound was definately off at the start, which isn't really suitable for songs like CD and WTTJ. I didnt have problem with Korn fans, more the casual older GNR fan that took too much alcohol.

Bumble's Bridge Pickup
Well yeah judging from YouTube vids he can't be lip-syncing. Watch two vids of the same song and you'll see he's often performing it differently in each version.I think people just confuse lip-sync with the backing tracks used in some CD songs, when there are two overlapping vocal tracks, and the occasional vocal FX he uses. rosetattoo
I found Axl's vocals better at Sydney than Perth. Also overheard people complaining at Sydney that Slash wasn't there during the show....Axl's attitude has been first class all the way for mine and really does seem to be enjoying himself. Obviously the sound was rubbish at Burswood '07 and Axl's tequila admission wouldn't have helped things.2010 shows were far better than 2007 - better production, sound and cohesion from the group. Thanks again for coming guys! Black Horse
Axl lip syncing? Some of you have to be joking. You can say whatever, you might like the guy or not but c´mon, accusing the guy this way is ridiculous. His performances can be better or worse but Axl Rose gives the best of him on stage and you don´t need to be a genius to notice that. Glync
Well i think this was a great show. I think the location was well chosen and was far better outdoors than at the crappy dome. Really enjoyed the setlist also, good spirits all round by the band and DJ left a great impression on me as i hadnt seen him live before. Really first rate...only complaint was the ques at the beer tent

Midnight Rambler
Brilliant fucking show. Anyone saying axl was lip synching is an idiot plain and simple - AN IDIOT. To be honest i was kinda over axl and his new band until last night. Ive seen him 3 times now, once in 02 at docklands arena, in 07 at the terrible bursowood dome and last nght at kwinana fucking speedway - derro and bogan central. Was just an all round amazing gig, was right near the front, had some pals who had nver seen axl before and they were skeptical. They actually thought t was the best gig theyd ever seen. Some of the crowd were dick heads but apart from that, was fucking amazing - and this is from a guy who does not agree in anyway with axl keeping the gnr name - doesnt mean you cant appreciate a fucking awesome show. Was SO happy afterwood, just speechless.

Chinese Destruction
It would appear that Australia has been one of the strongest legs of the entire tour. It's nice to see the Oz media portraying the gigs in a positive light. Kudos to the Aussies!
