Trent Reznor is the Brett Favre of Music

Millions would disagree. Bono is by far the best frontman today. He's been killing it for thirty years, he still produces remarkable music (No Line on the Horizon could have been better, but the next one will be great, trust me.), and he puts on a remarkable show.

Plus he sells out stadiums around the globe. Does NIN do that? Hell no. Bono has accomplished so much more than NIN ever will. And sure, they might be 'underground', but with the little fanbase they have, they could be a lot more known if they were easier to listen to.

Plus they have Robin Finck, who needs to retire. His lameass dancing, his gimmicky appearences, and his terrible contributions to Guns makes me dislike them even more. The Edge doesn't have to do stupid dances or look like complete shit (ex. Finck in 2002), he let's his playing do the work.

I tried to like them. I did. But their influence to Axl really disappoints me because in a way they killed Guns N' Roses. If it wasn't for them, Chinese Democracy might have been a good album. Instead I had to put up with such crap like Better and If The World. Riad N' The Bedouins had potential actually but the transitions to the song murdered it. The songs that are tolerable do not have that Industrial sound to them and I hope Ashba does change this if and that is an if[/] Axl writes another album.

While I don't disagree with everything you said about U2, and you're certainly entitled to your own opinion, I just don't think the "sells out stadiums" argument is strong. Not just in the case, but when comparing any bands. Reason being is that popularity/selling ability doesn't necessarily determine good music. I do like U2 better than NIN (my preference as well) but to say they've accomplished more because they sell out stadiums would be like saying the Jonas Brothers have accomplished more than *insert name of band* because they have sold out stadiums. I can't believe I'm even mentioning them but again the ability to sell doesn't determine what is good music or not. That's subjective.

Nickelback sells, Lady Gaga sells, Justin Bieber sells, etc...

I think we can ALL agree that none of them have accomplished anything musically.
