Rectify on Sundance. Anyone else watching?

"Daniel Holden was imprisoned as a teenager for the rape and murder of his 16-year-old girlfriend, Hanna. New DNA evidence vacates his original trial and he returns to his hometown of Paulie, Georgia after spending 19 years on death row.[5] The subsequent adjustments and events in the lives of Daniel, his extended family, and the townfolk are related as a character study in a slowly unfolding Southern Gothic story" (from Wiki)

Gotta say I had The Americans as the best new show this season, but Rectify is starting to make me rethink that. Pretty solid representation of small town life in Southern Alabama/Georgia.

Is anyone excited about Breaking Bad? rock3

Hell yeah buddy. Just kinda bummed the waits a bit longer this year. Was hoping it'd premiere in July like the last couple of years. Oh well though, the show has yet to let me down. Ya know, other than skylar still having a pulse .

Anybody here watch the US version of shameless?

Cannot believe they killed jimmy off. Not because I liked his character, in fact for plot purposes it didnt make sense to keep him alive at that point. But I can't believe they gave him an off screen death instead. Kinda disappointing.

Anybody watching the TV series based on Dr. Hannibal Lecter? I've kind of jumped onto this one since season 3 of Game of Thrones wrapped up. The actor who played Le Chiffre in Casino Royale is portraying Lecter and is great. Great Will Graham also. Eddie Izzard was in last week's episode, portraying a serial killer falsely claiming the work of Lecter and thus forcing Lecter to kill again (who as of yet remains unidentified as the person responsible for the killings and mutilations and is actually playing a deeply manipulative role in the investigation as a sort of negative catalyst between Graham, Jack Crawford and Crawford's wife who is dying of cancer).

True Blood kind of has me interested again. The shit with Bill is kind of crazy and it seems like he'll be the salvation for the vampires. The shit he did sucking the blood out of the woman was pretty crazy.

Also, the advances in the weapons and technology against the vampires makes things interesting. The bullets, contacts, etc.

Also, glad to see that wasn't Warlo in the first episode. He kind of looked like Rob Zombie when he came out of the portal.

I finished The Office yesterday... Best TV show ever. The two seasons without Michael Scott (Steven Carell) as just as good as any other, and the last four episodes are incredibly good.

The extended finale managed to gather everything this show was all about in every aspect, with every single character. The Michael cameo was perfect as well. And I admit that I cried on that episode. Only series that made me cry, twice... On the episode when Michael leaves, when he's talking to Jim and they both start to tear up and on the finale, when Andy's talking... "I wish there was a way to know that you're in the good old days before you've actually left them... " What a quote.

Orphan Black is a good show.

Yep, finished the first season a few weeks ago.

I think it is the third best new show this season. Tatiana Maslany deserves an Emmy nod.

Best New Shows:

1. Rectify (Sundance)

2. The Americans (FX)

3. Oprhan Black (BBC America)

True Blood has me intrigued again. That is all.

I see I'm not the only one.

I await Lithium's thoughts.

the ending to the last episode was pretty weird.

i'm still "meh" on this season so far.

I hate the direction they are taking with Alceide and Andy.

seriously..does Sookie need another love interest (the fairy dude)?

i enjoyed last season.

Would you recommend your top 2 then? I need some new shows to watch and I've heard good things about The Americans.

I think i'm gonna stop watching True Blood, not even Alex can make me stay watching that messiness.

I keep watching True Blood but I often find myself asking why I bother. The first two seasons were great, while the following seasons have gotten progressively worse (though season 5 had its moments). Just far too many characters in this show to care about. Also, it just seems like they're making it up as they go along (I laughed out loud in this week's episode when Sookie's fairy godfather explained how she can control her light but only use it once because she's only a half fairy - sure).

The only awesome moment in this new season so far was when Bill remotely sucked the blood from the blood ho. The show needs more badass moments like that.

I await Lithium's thoughts.

Just like the last few seasons, the main arch is the only one that really interests me. The human-vampire war could be really cool.

I remember you calling the last two seasons "complete rubbish."

I'm glad I disagree

Thoughts on The Killing?

Just finished up the two seasons on Netflix. Interesting the show is rated pretty high on various sites, but the written reviews kinda trash it.

Personally, I enjoyed it. Loved the interaction between the two detectives; Mireille Enos got prettier as the show went on, and Joel Kinnaman

is going to be a star.

The only thing I would have changed, is I think they should have solved Rosie murder in the first season, and then maybe in the second season a new arch that is still somehow related.

I'm halfway through season 2, and I think it's a good show so far.

I feel sorry for Richmond.
