Lose Your Illusions
Alright so when my guitar is plugged in, I'm getting the usual drone sound from my amp but no sound from the guitar itself. I try and play it and no sound. I recently tightened up the screw thing because it was loose and now its as tight as I can get it but still no sound. Anybody know whats wrong? Anybody know whats wrong?sounds like the ground wire is loose. if you open the back of the guitar, look where the wires are soldered and check the connections. Anybody know whats wrong? What is the "screw thing" that was tightened? Do you mean the input jack? What kind of guitar is it?
Zeppelin
This happened to me a while back. It turned out to be my cord, so I just bought a new cord and it was fine.

Also, did you check the amplifier? It might be a process of elimination but there may not be anything wrong with your guitar.
