Powerage5 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 (edited) There's some gross misinformation on that mod list.- ProstituteThis song has never been played live.>implying- There Was A TimeIt become a regular in the 2009/2010 tour.>implying regular- ScrappedThis song has never been played live.>implyingI guess that info was right at the time it was written down. There's no way it could have been. TWAT was only played once before Prosty was played, so it couldn't have been considered a "regular" by then.Actually, it was played twice in '09 before Prostitute; in both Taipei and Seoul. Not justifying the usage of "regular", just saying...TWAT was played on the first show after the NYC shows in 2006. Spain maybe? Whatever show was in between Hammerstein and RIR Lisbon. I don't think it was played the rest of the tour, popped up once or twice in Asia in 2009 and once or twice in Canada in 2010. I believe an instrumental of Get in the Ring was played in 91 or 92, but not with Axl. The Garden was a staple of the first few months in 1993. I'm sure it showed up once or twice before then, though.TWAT has been played a total of 6 times:5/12/06 - New York City5/25/06 - Madrid12/11/09 - Taipei12/13/09 - Seoul12/19/09 - Tokyo1/24/10 - Hamilton Edited March 14, 2011 by Powerage5

Angelo666 Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Prostitute only twice....making it one of the most rare GNR tunes....even cover songs usually get played more than twice. Damn. And TWAT at only 6 isn't far behind.Just a shame....cause TWAT and Breakdown are some of my faves.....to think they are so rare....such a waste!!
bigcountry Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Some songs are better live songs. The songs not played often are songs that just don't work live for whatever reason? Tempo or whatever.Other songs are better live than the orginal recording. For instance during the UYI tour they played Coma very few times. To me that is the best GNR song ever but I can see why it just doesn't work live for most people it is just too damn long. Estranged is another again to damn long and a slow developing song. Both songs are 2 of the best GNR have ever recorded but live for the vast majority of people (not us hardcore fans in the forums) they get board during these long ass songs.
Zanedog Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Were Locomotive and Breakdown ever played live?Im assuming everything off of Lies and Appetite were.
Gordon Comstock Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Were Locomotive and Breakdown ever played live?Im assuming everything off of Lies and Appetite were.Locomotive was only played once or twice i think.... I think there's only one recording of it, from one of the tokyo shows in 92 (not-too-great audience recording, though)
Zanedog Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Damn that blows, those songs rock. Im always suprised they did Perfect Crime and Garden of Eden live, but not Dont Damn Me. Those must kill to sing live. I just heard New GNR doing Down on the Farm in 06 and i was so happy.
FuddMckagan Posted March 14, 2011 Posted March 14, 2011 Breakdown was played at least once that I know for sure

Axl doesn't really give too much about what the audience is able to digest, for him it's all about the art.

Christian Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 Don't damn me.That is a real shame. One of their most underrated songs IMO. The way the solo starts is just brutal
