It's relevant to me because it features Buckethead, Bumblefoot, Robin Finck and Brain.

The fact that it has Axl Rose on vocals is the icing on the cake.

The fact that it's called Guns n' Roses is irrelevant to me though. I KNOW that without real Guns there would be no Chinese Democracy, but the fact that Axl decided to keep the name is none of my business ( though I know that without the name, there would be no world tours, no selling out stadiums in South America, not playing in front of 17 000 people in France etc... ).

I love Chinese because it features my favourite musicians, not because of Axl or Guns n' Roses...

How the album is perceived doesn't mean much to me. Sure, I wish the band could be less criticized ( and it would happen less with a different name and with more albums ) but what can I do : HATERS GONNA HATE as long as Axl keeps being Axl.

interesting point of view.

This says it all,I don't care how high an album climbs on the charts ,or how popular it is,even among friends,I listen to what I can relate to ,and it is non negotiable,GNR has been my preferance from the eighties and continues to be,nobody else even comes close.

from that perspective, it's a real shame they haven't put out more music over the years.

Moreblack,I'd much rather have quality, over quantity, and yes I take into account the somewhat unorthodox methods that they choose to take, but that appeals to me,along with the music, although I do listen to a wide array of music, nothing ranks even close to Guns n Roses for me,I actually relate to the constant chaos ,and the will to do things my way, even in the face of naysayers, and doubters,I'm one stubborn SOB,when needed,I also relate to the impulsively,so it is many things that have cemented GNR into my life,it has been since the eighties and won't be changing

That's all fine and good from a personality trait POV, but you're lying to me if you say you didn't wish they had put out more material between TSI and now...

No, one album of this caliber,is preferable over the likes of 3 mediocre, unmemorable, meaningless albums, and I'm feeling generous so I won't mention the albums I had in mind, seemed totally uninspired and monotonous.

To me, Chinese Democracy is like the best doughnut in the world: Axl is the doughnut, Bucket & Finck are the chocolate that fills the doughnut, and the rest is the icing and little candies on the doughnut (not necessary but better with them). B)

here you go,

read it again.

here is where one can debate GNR's Chinese Democracy.

so do.

here is were one can debate GNR for Chinese Democracy.

here it is were one can debate GNR "."

it's a good place to start, and with appropriated arguments.

not dropping little poisoning comments, in each topic.

why not start a topic with large capital letters, with something like - GNR sucks, but I just come here to say it. to express my self since it's my legal right. yeah it's your legal right to express once. now we know. and now you can go.

as one can clearly see, whenever one brings arguments to the table,

the badmouthed people have nothing to say.

at least I give you that much, that you do shut up when there is to obvious that your comments

will lack substance.

but I don't like it that you snick around,

and with your posts - really you are a minority! about 5 people and such, who don't like GNR how it is,

and wish it to be different.and who don't like Chinese Democracy.

and with your constant posting you create the sensation that there is a whole army of you people.

but you aren't.

fact is, there are millions of people out there that like GNR the way it is.

they attend to their shows. the bought or pirated Chinese Democracy,

like it and listen to it whenever they get the chance, and that makes them to go back and re-listen to the previous records,

and enjoy GNR music, because in the end, it about the music man.

peace in piss out.

Eye of the beholder.... many people don't consider these 3 albums you are referring to to be any of what you claim. There is obvious inspiration being drawn by these albums. Monotonous - not really. Every song is different. Whether or not you like the albums personally is the question, not anything regarding any past material
