Not a big fan of Mettalica, some good songs here and there but anyway very overrated band. And Joey Jordison run fuckin' circles around Lars playing Mettalica songs when he had replaced him.

Some songs are good? Many songs are great and Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets are easily 2 of the top 10, if not top 5, metal albums ever. Lars' drumming was never a focal point, he can write music. Lets see Jordison write something. Metallica isnt my favorite band (Im more into Megadeth), but I can not stand it when people do not give respect.

Why I should I give respect to the songs/albums/bands that do nothing to me ? I like some their songs and that's all. I could find 10 better metal albums than those mentioned by you ( form the top of my head : Blizzard of Ozz, Dirt, Paranoid, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Angel Dust, British Steel, Rust in Peace, Watershed, Cowboys from Hell, Badmotorfinger, La Sexorcisto). Still I can't uderstand how someone taste must go with respect ? Why ? Because Metallica is very succesful ? By such logic I should have utter respect for Lady Gaga Pussycat Dolls or whatever shit that is on the radio today. Why you can stand people who do not give respect to band they don't like or to music that does not move them in anyway ?

And I'm not even Joey Jordison fan, I like his drumming a lot and Metallica songs with him on drums sounded much superior but Slipknot is boring and Murderdolls could be fun but are to cliche for me.

About Slipknot. They don't need songs when they have such a live reputation.

is not enough.

'Tallica has the songs AND live reputation.

How do you define a song?

It is obviously being implied that a song is a musical arrangement worth listening to, something Slipknot lacks.

lol

It's true. 25 years from now, people will still talk about Master of Puppets, but they won't be talking about Iowa.

impossible!

You're right. That would be crazy! :shrugs:

For the record, I don't like Metallica one bit. :shrugs:

lol. whut, are you stupid?

They just don't do anything for me. Other than Kill 'Em All, I find their stuff just...boring. I'm not saying they suck or anything, they're just not my cup of tea.

Im sure its one of those things where as a huge Iron Maiden fan he is made insecure by Metallica. I find it very hard to believe someone can be in love with one and take no pleasure from the other (Iron Maiden is better by the way).

It actually has nothing to do with Maiden, I had already formulated my beliefs on Metallica before I ever picked up my first Maiden album. I don't see the correlation between liking Maiden and disliking Metallica anyways. That would be like saying that since I love Motley Crue, I have to like Poison (I don't, for the record).

No, it's not hard to believe. They are very different. I like both by the way, but Metallica's newer stuff, I am not that into.
