Dj and Pitman are, in my opinion, the only members “loyal” to Axl’s agenda (and genuinely enthusiastic about Guns N’ Roses). Everyone else has some underlying motivation (Tommy - money, Dizzy – camouflaging his lack of musical ability, Fortus – payday, Frank – high life, Bumblefoot – fame and expanding his solo fortunes).

Impossible to say. Lets see who sticks it out and appears on the next album. It would be great if Ron was still on board on the next record as at least there would be one remaining guitarist from the last album (I don't count Fortus as he seems more of a touring member).

I should also point out Ron demonstrates a regard for the fans (which considering the project's tendencies, is to be appreciated - greatly).

I actually don't think it's fair that folks say Ron is just using the GNR name to further his own career... he had a solo career before Guns, why should he have to give that up? It's not as if any of his side projects get in the way of his work with the band... What else is he supposed to do during these long hiatuses?

He's a legitimately talented guitarist and it would be a waste of his skills to only make music when Axl decides he can be bothered.

There’s no doubt Bumblefoot’s association with Guns N’ Roses is enhancing (actually hugely) his own exploits in terms of exposure. To say Ron didn’t weigh up this positive when considering joining the project is somewhat idealistic (in fact I would say it was detrimental to his decision).

You could easily say that Dizzy, Axl and Tommy has built a steady base during the years together.

I don't think Bumble is in just for the money but I could easily see him leave if the band remains a touring band ( wheras Fortus would stay without having any problem ).

DJ clearly loves being in GnR but I think he also has very high hopes for the band. Doubt he will stay if these hopes ever get shattered.

Tommy...mmh...I think he has a love hate relationship with the band. I'd rather not say anything about him because I don't like judging people I don't know and who am I to judge him anyway. :shrugs:

Frank looks like he loves it all.

Pitman has no reason to leave...at all lol

Dizzy has been there for a while and I doubt he has anything bad to say about Axl.

Anyway, the only people I could see leave out of frustration are Bumblefoot and DJ Ashba.

Interesting discussion.

Bumblefoot and DJ Ashba.

Buckethead and Robin Finck.

I see some similarities there.

I think you are pretty spot on in your analysis.

Tommy clearly exerts a lot of influence - and I would suggest that measuring loyalty (or attempting to) is perhaps futile and in vain.

I don't think anyone can truly gauge the motives of the individual members - unless you are one of them - so speculating is little more than that.

Yep. Tommy is the really the second in command in many ways as far as day to day band activities.

obviously, axl doesn't count since axl is who their loyalty is held to. i rank them like this:

1. dizzy

2. tommy

3. pitman

4. dj

5. fortus

6. frank

7. bumble

You rank them like that without knowing the people

Totally stupid and inaccurate
