merslain
Its was a sad night, but Jerry Cantrell doing Brother and Nutshell at the Dimebag memorial in Arlington, TX was probably the best live moment of my life. It just took me to another place. In a normal concert environment, its a tie between the Smashing Pumpkings doing Disarm or Foo Fighters doing Everlong on the tour in 2007. JAC185
I should really think about this before posting the first words that come into my head. When Nicky sang William's Last Words at Manics doing JFPL in full live it got to me a bit. He was genuinely a bit heartbroken. That and he can't sing.Noel Gallagher did Whatever acoustic when I saw Oasis which was worth the ticket price alone. Which is fortunate as the rest was atrocious.Thunderstruck was pretty dynamite the two times I've seen AC/DC.When GNR did Rosie it blew my mind too. There is a wicked video of it from the o2 on youtube aswell. Some serious foot stomping.Oh and RATM doing Wake Up at Download was mental. During the middle breakdown the whole crowd sat down then went berserk at the end. Bonkers it was.Actually Hurt by NIN at Reading in 2007. Just Trent and the piano. Everytime I see the video of it it still gives me chillls. Edited May 16, 2011 by JAC185
ZoSoRose
ive seen soooo many awesome shows, but these songs were the standoutsThe Who- love Reign O'er Me, Won't Get Fooled AgainEagles- Hotel California and Long Road Out of EdenAC/DC- For Those About to RockGuns N' Roses- Better, November Rain, Madagascar, This I LoveAerosmith- What it Takes, Dream OnX Japan- Endless Rain, Art of LifeRoger Waters- Comfortably NumbSlash- Nightrain, Starlight, Sweet Child O MineRush- la Villa StrangiatoOf these my all time favorites have been November Rain and of course, Art of LifeArt of Life is a 30 minute song by X Japan, and is up there with Stairway to Heaven as my all time favorite song. They only played the second half but the fact that i was there for the song and they actually chose to play it was enough for me!Now if only Zeppelin would tour so I can hear Stairway or Achilles Last Stand... P.A. Guns
Into the Painted Grey by Agalloch. I was in a fucking trace the entire time. Also, Under the Northen Star by Amon Amarth. So disappointed they didn't play it when I saw them a few weeks ago. Edited May 19, 2011 by P.A. Guns
Talvisota
Too difficult to chose. I'd just go with Nightrain from GN'R when i got to see them the first time. It's just my favourite song. I guess they could have fucked it up majorly and I would have still loved it.Otherwise there were so many awesome performances. Heaven and Hell's 15 minute version of the song of the same name, Hallowed Be Thy Name by Iron Maiden, Axel Rudi Pell doing "Oceans Of Time" and "Northern Lights" as unplugged versions.Lots of awesome songs when i think about it.
