Black Sabbath
So, I got some booltegs in the mail today and I planned on putting them in my computer and ripping both the video and audio from all of the discs, just so I could do what I wanted with them then.Anyway, they work fine in my PS3 and stuff, but when I put them in my computer, it acts like it's trying to load the disc, probably for around 40-60 seconds, then after it stops making noise, nothing happens. And if I try to manually open the disc by going Computer > DVD RW Drive (E:), once I click the drive, it shoots the disc out and tells me to insert a disc in to the drive.wtf is this shit -___-Only thing I can think of is if the DVDs have some sort of encryption on that that prevents my computer from loading them, but idk. Anyone? Kevin?
gunsguy
Did you try a real dvd disk and see if that works? (not burned disk)what OS you got? Edited June 19, 2011 by gunsguy
Black Sabbath
I'm running on vista.I'm about to try a regular DVD, and I'll post back in a minute after that. The booltegs work in my other computer though, which is odd. I've never had a problem like this.edit: regular dvd works and loads up right away in less than 10 seconds Edited June 19, 2011 by Black Sabbath
gunsguy
ok another question is the burned copy dvd+R?Reason I ask is maybe you need a firmware update for the drive in question. Also when you put the disk in wait a few minutes and see if it does read it, sometimes burned copies depending on speed and such take a bit to load on their owndoes this drive recognize a blank dvd? There are so many options here that I see we gotta narrow it down Edited June 19, 2011 by gunsguy
Black Sabbath
I does recognize a blank DVD. I'm not sure if it's a DVD+R or not, as it doesn't say anywhere on the disc.Worst comes to worst, it isn't that big of a deal for now because since it's working in my other computer, I'm just transferring the files over by flashdrive. Tedious, but it works.

Would be something to experiment with to see if it reads other burned copies etc.good luck m8
Guest gunns5
as gunsguy said, sometimes shit dvds play fine/perfect the first time, but every time after you watch it it starts skipping in points, then on the forth or fifth go it wont play past the 20 second markalways invest in good brand dvds, and stipulate it when your buying the bootleg dvds that they're burned on good brands (that has the name of the brand on the actual dvd).
