bt88
Heres the article and video:http://www.buzzfeed.com/daves4/dave-grohl-kicks-fan-out-of-foo-fighters-show?utm_campaign=socialflow&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=linksSo far the reactions are "oh that was awesome, good for Dave." I agree. But as I said, what if Axl did this? Wouldnt he be lit up for it in the press?
Guest Len B'stard
Did he refuse to play as well, or stop the gig and leave if the guy didn't stop fighting? Anyway, i'm suprised at Dave. from a man that comes from a culture of slam-dancing and moshing and all that, fuck em, let em fight Axl weren't criticised for chucking unruly fans out, he was criticised for stopping shows cuz he gets things thrown at him and not turning up and causing riots. Now if Dave Grohl had jumped into the crowd, thumped the guy then got up and left after making a remark about how shit security were and causing a riot in the process that caused millions of dollars of damage, THEN he'd probably get lit up too.i don't think performers should do that shit though. I mean, you're up there, how do you know clearly whats going on, the guy might've been defending himself or reacting to getting hit. You employ security to do that shit, stick to the fuckin stage, mind you, half the time security don't have a clear view either so it's part of the game i guess. Also, you don't wanna see no one getting victimised at your shows i suppose. Edited July 13, 2011 by sugaraylen
Chewbacca
Well done. I'm not sure if Axl would really get bashed for this. That kid really deserved it.
ChineseDemocracy2004
Axl has stopped a show before because a fan were being beaten up by the security staff and he had the security ejected. I think it was from Birmingham in 2006.Axl and Dave should become a crime-fighting duo.

The Glow Inc.
Yeah, basically, Axl gets mocked for stopping the show whenever there is a fight while Manson gets praised for acting like that... The only guy that, I think, handles stupid fans the right way is Les Claypool.

Guest Len B'stard
There's nothing more pathetic, nothing more fuckin limp than a rock n roller walking offstage cuz some threw something at him. I mean what the fuck kind of shit is that?!?! Don't they feel a tiny bit ridiculous, Marilyn Manson, the prince of all things evil and dark and sinister...crying over a bottle thrown at him? Snoop Dogg as well and 50 Cent, meant to've come up through these rough hip hop clubs where shootings and stabbings go on, moaning about an Evian bottle hitting him, its laughable. dalsh327
Dave had a pretty clear view that there was a fight breaking out, which was different from Axl dealing with house security roughing someone up in the front row. As far as rough hip hop clubs... a lot of rap artists were turned away from a lot of venues for the longest time, because things would happen in the parking lot. Venues didn't want the trouble, even though they were guaranteed a big draw. It was a huge issue with the hip hop community that they had a hard time getting gigs. hudsonsaul
lolz, Axl would be hounded if he did this....although he might go a step further, spit his dummy and walk off never to return. But yes, Axl would react similar, and press & kids would rip him apart because its Axl. Dave's a "nice guy" though, so will be always be in the right with these things in the ppls eyes. Shit their cheeky yet nice guy attitude is what helped bring down Guns during the Grunge era. ohmygod
I was at that show. Fucking amazing moment. It was just rad to be out in the crowd and see Axl go off. True story, that dude that got tossed was a friend of a friend.
