Cosmo
if you're getting pissed off by random postings on the net, you got bigger issues.I'm sure you're surrounded by people with really big issues, Sunny. Let's face it while Axl's current band are all fine musicians in their own right they are pretty much faceless to the average fan. If RF left the band Axl will just replace him with another very talented guitar player and other than NuGnR fans on this forum nobody would even notice the change...It is not like the current band has any original music to claim as their own so they are all replaceable parts except Axl.......it is not like this has not happened before......You're right. The general public wouldn't notice it at all. Maybe except for DJ, because of his 'appearance', but other than that, they have no idea who (is or is gonna be) up there with Axl. I'm losing it. Looks like Richard needs to make a decision here. Thin Lizzy or GNR. Let the bidding war begin. The worst thing is, unless GnR has big plans and breaks the pattern it's been following since it's 'inception', if I were him, i'd probably pick Thin Lizzy
The Glow Inc.
Well...it's not like Thin Lizzy has any plans of moving forward either. They've clearly said at the time of the reformation that this was just intended as a cash gr...a tribute to Phil Lynott and that no new music would ever be written nor released under the name Thin Lizzy. Powerage5
Man, I hope he's not gone for good. He's always been a huge part of the band.On the plus side, I am excited to see him with Thin Lizzy opening for Priest in November.
eye2eye
What is Robin Finck doing ? Axl had only warm words about him duiring the chats and he was crucial member of CD recording. Maybe it is time to come back ? I think he might be interested in playing his own material

The Glow Inc.
Well, then they completely changed their attitude...I...honnestly think ( as much as it saddens me if true, because he is one of my favourite members ) that Richard is far too talented to be a touring guitarist only...He should definitely go where things are moving forward. When he came in, most of the songs of Chinese were already written. If they decide to use a lot of the Chinese-era material I'm sure we'll see a lot more Fortus stuff in there. star
can someone explain the point of the original post.. as I don't keep up with what every hired hand is up to. I'm clutching at straws here, but i'm guessing there are rumoured GN'R dates that Thin Lizzy / Clutch(who ever they are) dates overlap ? - and a GN'R hired hand performs either with Thin Lizzy or Clutch Edited July 19, 2011 by star

Ali
You'll shit bricks when you see it...( There are some other dates during the GnR tour aswell ).Oh, and Vivian Campbell isn't coming back anytime soon ( according to him )...I don't see any confirmation of what Richard is going to be doing right now. So, to answer the question - nobody knows at this point.Ali

moreblack
I'm sorry, I don't see what there is to discuss here beyond there being no indication at this time what the answer to your question will be.It's a rather large talking point at the moment, it's pretty silly to want to ignore it. The fact that nobody knows means it's time to speculate to the extremes... Edited July 19, 2011 by moreblack
