Whats it like? I ain't got any speakers here at work and i went outside to youtube it from my phone but what i heard didn't sound much at all like Noel, not even sure if it was the right track, youtubes funny like that, through mobile phones it often like...doesn't bring up all the shit on youtube. It gets weirdly selective. Unless Noels switched his voice up some and i didn't clock on.

What i heard sounded very Beatlesey though, Strawberry Fields type beginning.

Beatlesy maybe but not really in the style of Strawberry Fields. Actually I'd say more like the Kinks in the way "Importance of Being Idle" was. It's not bad and it's better than Beady Eye at least but then it was always gonna be wasn't it?

Aye it was alright. I'd be interested to hear where Noels goes on the album though as all his sung contributions with Oasis were kinda mid tempo lower key affairs. Personally I don't know if I even want to hear Noel Gallagher rocking the fuck out. Maybe he should stick to what he does best. Regardless this has certainly piqued my interest.

I always felt it was the music that propelled Oasis tunes anyway, specifically the guitar work, they never really had like...raging fucking lyrical delivery. The reason i rate Noel and always will rate Noel is that he makes beautiful fuckin melodic tracks. Oasis songs never sounded so good when you hear em in their gestatitive state (that word has tit in it, see?) and it's just Noely G and his accoustic. He really does take a song and make it his, like all great musicians. Listen to him doing Help by The Beatles.

just listen to it properly, fuckin legendary. absolutely and unequivocably legendary, love it love it love it, so the next time someone asks you where the geniuses are in our time, point em to Noely G.

You kinda get the feeling with Noel that he like...hits on a good idea and then like...has trouble getting it out of his head. He said that IOBI was the last great Oasis tracks...seems like he's picking up from where he left off. I'm fuckin dying to hear this album now, i hope it leaks.

Nice to hear Noel is still nicking lyrics from other songs. Sounds like he's been listening to the Treme soundtrack.

The vid is smart play for US market, I think he's going for it.

I actually think Bring the Light was a better single, but Death is a better song.

Y'know...thinking about it, the next Oasis album might've been fuckin terrific, at least judging from them two tracks.

Don't talk like that man, you're making my toe hurt :scared:

I think it's obvious look at the cover of the single, it's like a sunset in LA. that's how I see it Liam has gone back to early 60s, Stones and Bealtes, everyone wearing black with bowl cuts.

Then Noel has done a proper solo album, as in gone more pop, the video looks like a show from a HBO series. Liams vids are a band playing, Noel is sitting alone in a Diner hanging out with a waitress. then a voodoo new orleans procession rolls into town.

Noel cant have broken up Oasis to just do a Graham Coxon, he must be aiming for Bowie meets Lennon accessibility. but a mansion in LA and live the dream. just in time to attend Ozzy's funeral.

All Oasis albums seem great to me. The next one would have been too. The Roller was a decent single.

This song reminds me of Dexter. I wouldn't be surprised to hear it on the show.

Summer in the City playing in the background as he measures you his victims toes.

apparently he even had a third album in the can that was gonna be titled The Future of Martial Arts but he just couldn't be bothered in the end cuz he was sick of writing new matierial. But it was actually like, mostly done apparently.

it's great dbtt era stuff, but i'm waiting for the blockbuster that tops "four letter word". the energy there is unstoppable. the energy here is a new orleans funeral march.

I'm not. I pretty much want it to be like...solo accoustic stuff with various embellishments. And i think thats what Noels going for, the sort of "one man struggling with his instrument" sorta wooden stool set up. Although who knows.

It's about time Noel conquers America.

he won't, he's not a big enough cunt.

He is. I can see him buying a mansion in the hills and being on Jimmy Kimmel.

I think Noel has remakes of Don't look Back and Wonderwall up his sleeve.

I agree. I think Noel sees this as his opportunity to really get things done without Liam and the other guys weighing him down. Oasis was so much better before Noel started letting the other guys contribute songs to their albums. Noel also knows how to give a good interview. I can just picture him cracking jokes on Kimmel.
