Spirit
It's probably their biggest city market in the US, would be strange to leave it out.

Musicman11
Given the fact that 2 of the 3 US dates on the 2009-present tour have been in New York and I'm pretty sure that New York has been played more than probably any other state by New GNR, the yeah I see you all getting anywhere from 2-4 dates How about you share the love? batman007
i want to finally see them in LA and Vegas too and i did try and make the topic a little less heart stoppingCool, thanks! If I dont get a Texas show, I would love to see them in Vegas again. I saw them at the joint in 06. I saw them two nights in a row! There is no feeling like a guns show finishing and you are at a high and knowing that you get to live it again in 24 hrs later. To be honest I have a goal on this tour to hopefully see them 3 nights in a row!

Why would they go there now?(Note - I am being sarcastic) Edited September 11, 2011 by Mysteron

Olorin
Anybody from the UK ever flown over for a gig in the US? Thinking of biting the bullet and flying over for an New York gig, seeing them at MSG would be pretty epic. But first things first, anyone who's ever done it, what would the total cost roughly be? Flight, accommodation, ticket, food etc.

moreblack
It's a major, major market. You don't tour and NOT hit New York, that's just crazy...
dalsh327
GNR could easily cover the northeast for a month. Affordable Manhattan motels/hotels take a lot of searching out, but there's some good deals out there where you'll wind up in a decent area. Cruel Intentions
They HAVE TO play the Garden, they just have to. I'd go to Hammerstein or wherever they play in NY, but playing the Garden after they finish renovating it and it reopens in November would be sick. To save a quid or 2 I wonder if I could time it so I fly in for late afternoon, take in the show and head to the airport afterwards and hang around for the flight home...
