Blind reminds me of Nickelback, Break Everything of Linkin Park.

The songs are okay, I like them. DJ is a pretty good songwriter.

I really like the solo's, make them sound a bit more bluesy and they would be perfect.

So I can imagine DJ taking new GnR tunes to a different level with some awesome solo's, make them rock harder, bring new ideas to the table. Stuff like that.

We'll see :)

They sound like generic pop punk kinda of stuff which is really not too impressive IMO. I've heard a couple instrumental tracks by DJ a while back and I thought the guitar playing was nice, he's far better than this territory but I guess it's alright if he wanted to make that stuff. Axl wouldn't like to delve into that territory i'm pretty sure however.

While some of the solos are cool/nice, they lack something. Something a GNR guitarist should have. It's like we're listening to that good/OK guitarist but he can't seem to go further - he's a good guitarist and pretty much it. Generic soloing all over the place and generic songs as well.

I really hope Axl doesn't remove Finck and/or Bucket to have this guy's generic soloing all over the next record. I know I haven't listened to any of his work with GNR, but judging by his own solo stuff (and stuff with Nikki) there's no way he could write something as original as Shackler's or beautiful as the SOD and TWAT solos.

This guy never impressed me (and countless fans) and hopefully won't impress Axl as well. I don't want to hear the same solos we've been hearing over the past 40 years. Give me Scraped or Riad over "Mi Amor" any day of the week, month, year or decade.
