Flayer
What I'm asking is whether Axl should try and do the album with just the current lineup (and if he's using any older material, having BBF or DJ rerecording it), or if he's going to incorporate Buckethead and Robin material, invite Brian back for some studio recordings, etc. On one hand, the ex-Nu Gunners probably made a ton of great music, on the other, having a solid lineup could make a tighter album that sounds more like the work of a band. As long as Bucket and any others agree he can use it, I doubt Axl would throw all their contributions away, but considering how he really wants to solidify and promote Guns as it is, I'm curious as to how he's gonna balance the old and the new. MarcoM
If the next album will be just one regular disc, I would like to hear 5 or 6 the very best songs Buckethead, Finck and Brain created + about 10 songs that current lineup wrote. In my opinion, the best way to make next album is to make it double: one CD with songs written by Bucket, Finck, Brain (Ashba & Bumblefoot would add something to that songs too) and the other disc with the whole new material, written by BBF, Ashba etc.I honestly don't know what Axl will do, but I've voted he release album with the current lineup only. James Bond
What I'd rather have? Just the current line-up. What will Axl probably do? Use much of the older material, but have Ashba/Ron add their own stuff.Personally I'd like a new album written entirely by this line-up, then release a small box set with the remaining Chinese Democracy material as is.
