Kill Devil Hill Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 BITCH PLEASE!!!I had to take Detonautas, Pitty, Evanecense and SOAD to see RiR....Sorry...Still not over it... But Evanescence and SOAD are great bands, although I've never hated SOAD more than I did waiting two fucking hours for GN'R to hit the stage, and I wasn't even there.
Sweersa Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Adelitas Way was so awful.I liked a few of their songs, but considering what was coming next it's hard to enjoy anything. The only bad part of seeing GN'R live is not wanting to see anyone else after. lol
31illusions Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I thought Hinder was ok. At least I know a few of their soings. So not bad.
Flayer Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I felt kinda sorry for Adelita's, their soundmix in Kansas City was real bad, I couldn't hear their singer and I was in the front row. They played hard, just not particularly well. They weren't the right caliber of band to open for this.
Georgy Zhukov Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 I like SOAD but I can see why they would be annoying if you want to hear GN'R already.
F*ck Fear Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 1. Black Label Society - I've seen these guys live before and they kick lots of ass.2. Buckcherry3. Sebastian Bach - I seen him open for Guns twice and both times were epic.4. The Pretty Reckless - Even though I'm seeing them on Monday, judging by the studio material, they should be pretty badass
Cosmo Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 BITCH PLEASE!!!I had to take Detonautas, Pitty, Evanecense and SOAD to see RiR....Sorry...Still not over it... But Evanescence and SOAD are great bands, although I've never hated SOAD more than I did waiting two fucking hours for GN'R to hit the stage, and I wasn't even there.I never liked SOAD, I only know their most famous songs and I don't really like it, but when you listen to songs such as Bounce live, after standing up for at least 8 hours, you just can't take it. And I don't like Evanescence at all...
Eu4ic Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 SOAD's first album is one of the greatest debut metal albums, ever, period, but even I dont care for them live. I watched them on youtube as I anticipated GNR and I dunno if it was my excitement over Gnr or what, but I just couldnt tolerate it. The achilles heel of most heavy bands is that their live shows either become monotonous or just an excuse for violent boneheads to do be dumb. btw Evanescence sucks, imo.
RandallFlagg Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 System of a Down are awesome, it's an acquired taste imo and can understand why many would find them annoying but they are certainly unique and crazy and come up with some inventive shiz.
Kill Devil Hill Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Lithium by Evanescence is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.
Axl4Prez2004 Posted November 25, 2011 Posted November 25, 2011 Asking Alexandria sucked dick.Is it okay for me to hope Taylor Momsen DOES suck dick? Specifically mine? Camden, can't wait!
Georgy Zhukov Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 (edited) Here's a positive review of the Worcester show about the band, the author's critism was mostly directed in the last paragraph regarding The Pretty Reckless. The Pretty Reckless opened with ’80s-style glam metal just a notch above a tuneless churn. Former “Gossip Girl’’ actress Taylor Momsen’s voice had a husky power, but the band’s fate was sealed when she tried repeatedly to start a singalong and the audience wouldn’t have it.http://www.bostonglobe.com/arts/2011/11/28/guns-roses-goes-distance/UNxGEtfuDz7GJIxAqVQu6J/story.htmlSucks for them. I wonder if it has to do with the fact she's 18 yet thinks she's lived like Steven Tyler or Keith Richards. Fake. Edited December 2, 2011 by BirdCatcher
kyrie Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 The Pretty Reckless did well. Taylor Momsen being smoking hot is a bonus.
Powerage5 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 So am I the only person that digs the fact that the Reverend Horton Heat opened a show? And for the record, I thought The Pretty Reckless were shit.
cspalding22 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Saw TPR in Worcester, thought they were pretty good for an opening band.
Georgy Zhukov Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 Apparently she failed to communicate with the audience.
