Twinaleblood
Yeah, i think MSL was using this to get dontrememberwhat in a trade.Nightrain vocals are exactly those from Live Era, but the music sounds a bit rawer and less "slashier": reworked with some audio editing software or could it be legit? GnR Chris
I wouldn't mind a live disc featuring the new band doing AfD songs, but re-recording is just stupid. It wouldn't go over well with the general public. They should just leave that alone. I'm glad it's in the vault, though I know it would sound pretty cool.I get annoyed even when bands with entire original lineup re-record albums. It's out. Let it be. You can't keep tweaking. That's what Lucas did with ET and Star Wars and so forth.
James Bond
Yeah, i think MSL was using this to get dontrememberwhat in a trade.Nightrain vocals are exactly those from Live Era, but the music sounds a bit rawer and less "slashier": reworked with some audio editing software or could it be legit?Definitely just re-worked. It seems that whoever did it just pulled some frequencies to make the guitar tracks less obvious and more "distant" as they sound here.
Cosmo
Too bad it never saw the light of day... However, that's an album that would be much better if it leaked than if it were released... And even though they replaced You're Crazy and Anything Goes with YCBM and Patience, I'd love to have a studio version of nuKOHD..
axlslash
Just the rerecorded vox from Live Era, nothing too special here. Sigh. Also, look at the video. THE VIDEO IS A BOUNCING LIVE ERA COVER!!!!! Jeeze...

Chewbacca
Anything new from this band would be a gratefull surprise. TBH, I'm quite curious about the AFD '99 project...
moreblack
Ozzy has re-recorded some shit so it's not really a big deal.yeah, and then restored the original tracks after people gave him endless grief for it. That was just a petty move by Sharon anyway to try and screw Bob and Lee out of royalties.
RandallFlagg
I'd rather keep Appetite how it is and has been for years and have something fresh, a follow up to Chinese.

Cosmo
nothing can beat the original.Seriously.It's one thing that the band plays the old stuff live. It's a whole new ballgame rerecording a masterpiece, and rereleasing it as a nu album.Glad it never saw the light of day and hope it never does. I'd rather see the Nu Band create their own masterpiece instead of living in yesteryear.+1But still, would love to hear it. That's why I said it would be much, much better for them if it had just leaked.
Apollo
I don't understand why people have so much anger or annoyance about things like this. If you only want the original and have no interest in a remake.....then you simply can choose NOT to listen to it. You can just keep listening to the original for the rest of your life!!!!! A remake shouldn't effect you at all. So why would u even care? Those of us who are open-minded and not stuck in 1987, can then choose to listen to another group of musicians perform. A remake doesn't effect the original. I love remakes and tribute albums and acoustic performances. If a song is awesome, why wouldn't you want to hear multiple takes on it?And in the end, you can choose to listen to whatever versions u like best. People need to broaden their horizons a bit and not be so close-minded. Edited November 24, 2011 by Groghan

I just can't remember how many remixes of my favorite songs I have already listened to. It's always nice to listen to something with a fresh, new vibe. Apollo
But it's true that if Axl released AFD 2.0, the media would slaughter him.Maybe so. But who cares. As a rock fan, I want more music. As a fan of this band, I want to hear them play as much music as possible.Nothing will have an effect or change the original. My grandma makes the best chocolate pie in the world. But I still eat other people's pie. Doesn't take away from her pies.
