Guest deleted_19765 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Their music had such a great variety over the years. My favorite album is Livin' on the Fault Line. Its top-shelf musicianship and writing all the way. Tremendous vocals from Mike Mac and co. This isn't even the best on the album but check it out, such an upbeat but eerily sad song:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4Lj2iZzqRk&feature=relmfuAnother from that album: Shit is straight outta church. artfromtex Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I've been getting into the Doobies here lately as well. I'm more of a Tom Johnston fan and prefer the first 6 albums over the Michael McDonald stuff. I just recently bought these new two-fer cd's of the first six albums from Amazon.co.uk. They're two-disc sets with one album on each disc along with bonus tracks (demos, etc.). The mastering is really great. Probably the best versions of the Doobies on CD.Their new album, "World Gone Crazy" is really good too. There are 4 or 5 top-notch songs on there. Quote
