Tyler Drama Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Matt Sorum and Steven Adler are confirmed. I don't see a "Just Drummers" option. Quote
packersnroses Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 (edited) Whatever happened to the whole "Slash can't be seen as an associate of Guns" Guitar Hero thing? If Slash shows then he's pretty much acting as an associate, right? Edited December 8, 2011 by packersnroses Quote

Guest gunns5 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I hope they have a big stage set up just in case they all turn up Quote
alaskagunner Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Lol. I voted all old and current members. figure if Axl does show up he's going to have at least DJ with him. If not Bumble as well. as Ron facebooked a thank you to everyone whos provided support. If either arent there i dont think we see Axl Quote
alaskagunner Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 My only thought on that knife is DJ is by all appearances Axls right hand man. you can see it pretty plainly. theres a lot of respect for all members but Dj and Ron seem to be the two that garner more trust at least publically. With DJ taking the lead. if your the leader you always need a good righthand guy who you trust and be comfortable with. By no means am i saying hes getting inducted as i dont see that happening. just if Axl does something publicly he'll have one or both guitarists with him as a comfort/shield deal and also a show of unity for the current lineup Quote
RandallFlagg Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I vote the classic known line up minus axl only cause it makes logical sense, but then again he might show up and hang out but that could cause a lot of bother he could do without. Quote
AXL_N_DIZZY Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Slash, Duff, Steven and Matt... maybe Izzy if it's on his way to an Alaskan dog sled race he's driving to or something...Axl beams in a recorded message from "Burning Hills, CA"... Quote
The Archer Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 (edited) I'd love for bucket to just turn up with nunchucks in hand and just start doing his 'chuck routine.Lol, if for nothing else to know that the Appetite era purists will be frothing at the mouth...I voted for the alumni minus Axl. The man doesn't need it and won't do it if it's not on his terms. It seems unlikely that his terms will not include recoginition of the curent lineup. Even so, he would probably not care for the trouble. Edited December 8, 2011 by The Archer Quote
droezle Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 1 song with the classic line up and 1 song with the current line up. Quote
RandallFlagg Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Axl and Steven Adler will do a duet of Atlas Shrugged with Adler singing and Axl on trombone. Nothing else will be performed. Quote
The Glow Inc. Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I don't think Axl will go...If he goes, no way he doesn't bring the current lineup with him.Why ? Because playing with the old lineup would seriously harm the current one. "See ? They really weren't Guns n' Roses"Unless Axl suddenly changes and is willing to loose full control over the name, the band and everything he has secured during the last decade, he probably won't play with them. I can't imagine him doing it off a well-received North American tour, some recording/producing work on existing unreleased material this winter (hopefully) and rumors of a coming European Summer Tour... He'd be completely cutting himself and his band off at the knees... Quote
scans n' copies Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I think (hope) it will be AFD lineup plus Sorum and Dizzy. I totally agree that if Axl shows, he would bring at least DJ with him. They would probably sit at one table with Beta and clan while the former members were at another. Playing together is a whole different animal though. Quote
nambis Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 this poll is invalid, we already know Sorum plans to go and he isn't even an option.thread closed. Quote
dalsh327 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 We'll see what happens when they name the members being inducted. ChiDem members being inducted increases the odds of Axl going. The whole "I can't be in the same room with Slash" is kind of ridiculous when they both live and work in the LA area, and in the future, is going to be more about the GNR legacy. The feud will always be brought up; reunion questions will never go away. Axl might do it just because he feels like it that day, and shut people up about what he said 2 years ago. The closer it gets to the ceremony, he'll either issue an announcement saying he's not going, or say nothing at all about it and just surprise people. Quote
Val22 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I voted for all of AFD members (original) to show up. I really hope that Axl shows up because this is a cool honor for him and the band.I was checking out the messages on Blabbermouth.net and most people don't think Axl will show up or they think he'll fuck it up somehow. Jerks! I really hope that Axl proves them wrong just like he's doing on the US tour.I don't care who hates who, just put other band members between Axl and Slash and accept the award. When Axl was on TMS he was asked what he would do and Axl said he would see what was asked of him. I guess we'll find out in April and it'll be on HBO in May, which is awesome, so hopefully nothing will be edited out, since it'll be on a good cable station. lolLike I think most of us know, Slash, Steven and Duff have said they would attend the show. Duff is on good terms with Axl and his band Loaded will be opening for some GNR shows, so I would think he and Duff might talk about the award. Slash said he would be there for sure. No word from Matt but with Steven being there, Matt shouldn't be there.I really want Axlthere because if the other members attend and are to perform, I don't want any other singers singing for Axl. That would suck big time.I'm just happy for GNR because they do deserve this acknowledgment. There was a small article in the Dallas news and it had a cool picture of Axl from the US tour and said it was their first time nominated and that they got in and listed most of their hit songs. I was glad for that.Red Hot Chili Peppers and Beastie Boys are inducted too.I think that someone Axl likes and respects should give them the award, then maybe he would definitely be there. If Axl mentions the induction in any US cities, hopefully, someone will post it here. WhazUp Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 I know that there is a lot of exitement over this but do you guys think the original band will be able to all get together and talk let alone perform? I mean I would love to see them onstage again but I just don't see it happening at all Quote

I don't care who it might be, Steven, Myles, Brian Johnson, whoever, please don't do it. Quote
