I am not too big on that band but I can definately see that happening because Avenged Sevenfold is pretty well known and M. Shadows definately was inspired by them

I think they are a good band and you can really hear the Guns influence in their sound. M. Shadows would be a good choice if both Axl and Slash show up. If Axl doesn't it really doesn't matter who inducts them - maybe Hulk Hogan would be a good choice.

Too bad Freddie is no longer with us. Wonder who might induct GnR? Suppose it depends on if Axl will go or not.

Yeah, Freddie inducting GNR would have been awesome. I just hope it's someone Axl likes and respects, then I think he would show up.

Time will tell I guess.

WE have alot of time until April and who knows what will happen by then?

I just don't want another Van Halen mess. That was just shameful. Axl, Slash, Steven, Duff and Izzy should be there to get inducted. This was the GNR that changed the face of rock in the 80's and continues to be a force today. It's IMPORTANT for all of them to be there.

Hey, can you please enlighten the ignorant? I actually don't know what happened that was so crazy about the Van Halen induction. All I know is they were going to go but pulled out a couple weeks before because of fighting between members. Was anything really crazy said or done?

There was no feud between Dave and Ed, problem was that Ed was overwhelmed between working with Dave after 20 years and a big moneymaking tour, facing Hagar who he absolutely hated at that time, and pretty much had a meltdown where he had to go back to rehab. Dave didn't go out of respect to Ed as well as not wanting to blow a 20 mil payday.

Baz would be really funny to hear he is always pretty damn enthusiastic :P

I can picture it now:

"How fuckin' great is it to have Guns N' Fuckin' Roses in here, people!?"

if they're going by people already in: Brian May, Lars Ulrich, Steven Tyler, Elton John, but I looked at the past ceremonies and they had Billie Joe Armstrong, Wyclef, and some others that aren't in. Ron Wood knew Slash as a kid and would be interesting if he inducted them, but he's busy that night... there's no rules saying you can't induct and be inducted the same night.

Is it usually someone who's been in the game longer or someone who was inspired by the artist?

I know who Duff would choose, and it's someone nobody would have guessed ...

Prince Is Responsible For Helping Me Learn To Be Alone

By Duff McKagan

Thu., Dec. 8 2011

I was a guy who played different instruments in different bands, and a friend of mine who was a big fan of Prince early on, turned me onto Controversy and Dirty Mind. He thought I might relate to the genius multi-instrumentalist from Minneapolis. The records were ground-breaking and forward-thinking. I was hooked.

When 1999 came out later that year, I found a respite and safe-haven in between the grooves on this epic double-album. It didn't matter that the direct topics of "Little Red Corvette" and "Something In The Water You Drink" didn't directly relate to me and my situations exactly; it was the intent and drama and impossibility of how good this record was that made me start to think that maybe ANYTHING was possible in my own life, too. I could rise up and get through all of this messy teenage young-adult stuff, with a little help from this record.

1999 became the soundtrack to my life through 1983, and when I decided to move to LA on my own, this record (by then on cassette), became my traveling companion and best friend.

Since then, many different records by different artists have become soundtracks to different parts and eras of my life, but nothing since 1999 has had such an impact, and given me the confidence and be-alone and stay-alone capabilities. I owe a lot to this record.

Thankfully, my need and training for being alone has come to pass. I am a happy family man nowadays, and find myself surrounded all of the time, by my girls, dogs, and stinky rock bandmates. But Prince's music remains a touchstone for me, and 1999 will always hold a special place in my soul. It gave me strength, and it gave me friendship. It made me work harder for the things I wanted to attain. It was the sturdy vessel that protected me in those choppy and scary waters of my coming-of-age sea change.

If the whole "influenced me" thing holds true most likely M. Shadows or some other Avenged Sevenfold dude. They cited GN'R as a huge influence. I really hope Joe Perry does it. I just have that mental image of Joe Perry introducing/inducting them. As much as Aerosmith influenced Guns I can't picture any other Aerosmith member introducing them. If Joe Perry doesn't do it I am dissapoint.

The answer is obvious.

The man needed to induct GNR needs to be a man of few words.

He needs to be a man who knows the band well.

He needs to be a man who can communicate without saying too much...or in this case, anything at all.

I am envisioning a slideshow of GNR history presented by one Mr. Buckethead. A little robot dance, a little nun-chuk routine...and then the slideshow.

Saul Hudson. He can also say sorry to Axl for being a total dick all these years.

New bands performs Sorry which Axl dedicates to Saul.

For a guy that keeps using the report button to reports cupcakes you're doing a pretty good job yourself as a cupcake!

Take this as a last warning before a long suspension.

Compris mon ami?

Elton John or Bono, but I'm pretty sure it'll be someone more hard rock oriented. But Elton and Bono would be so cool.

Or Michael Monroe.
