sailaway Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Kurt CobainGood choice, brilliant mind but too bad it isn't is his head anymore :xmasssanta:
Laparka Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Another thread turning into Axl vs Slash...great...I'd like Jimy Fallon of course...But Vince Neil would be awesome
sailaway Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Saul Hudson. He can also say sorry to Axl for being a total dick all these years.New bands performs Sorry which Axl dedicates to Saul. For a guy that keeps using the report button to reports cupcakes you're doing a pretty good job yourself as a cupcake!Take this as a last warning before a long suspension. Compris mon ami?Yeah,Chill with the "Saul" commentary. It was amusing the first 2000 times, now its just trite.Remember, the opposite of HATE is Apathy.
James Bond Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Prob. this kid I'm sorry I clicked the play button. What's that saying, curiosity killed the cat? I'm the cat, and I just killed my faith in humanity.
sailaway Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Another thread turning into Axl vs Slash...great...I'd like Jimy Fallon of course...But Vince Neil would be awesome I have a funny feeling it won't be Vince Neil, also not Mick Wall
Axl owns dexter Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Lars Ulrich...and I'm not even joking.
RussTCB Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Too bad Freddie is no longer with us. Wonder who might induct GnR? Suppose it depends on if Axl will go or not.I'd vote for Steven Tyler.
stratus Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Since people are saying it should be someone who was inspired by the band and not the other way around.Chris Martin, Coldplay - http://www.mygnrforum.com/index.php?showtopic=54211&st=0Brandon Flowers, The Killers - You know, the whole VMA thing and the guy's last name is *Flowers* and he has a kid named Gunner.
Georgy Zhukov Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 (edited) And Chris Martin never became a rock star. Yeah he or Brandon would be great.Chris and Axl are similar in taking a different direction in the band...just that Chris went to the extremes. Edited December 10, 2011 by BirdCatcher

Compris mon ami? Thank you for that Montrealer. I've been waiting for someone to confront him for the longggesssttt time. Why all this hate? Volcano is the opposite of you. Two opposing forces. You need him.
Kill Devil Hill Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 No joke. IMHO these guys (or what's left of them). They were the rap equivalent of GN'R coming up in Los Angeles at the same time. Even had a song called "Appetite For Destruction" and we know they had some mutual respect with GN'R and Axl wore the NWA hat on stage from time-to-time, etc. At the end of the day GN'R was so shocking and provoking back in the day- this would be perfect IMHO rather than having another crusty old rock star say a few half-hearted words or whatever... This would have the audience squirming in their seats in true GN'R style... Axl would need to take Dre off his enemy list or whatever though!! HAHA Good article with some Dr. Dre and Axl quotes about NWA/GN'R here:http://www.feelnumb.com/2010/01/15/dr-dre-was-shocked-when-axl-rose-wore-nwa-hat-in-video/Actually, this is the perfect idea!
The Real McCoy Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I'll be shocked if it's anyone besides Tyler and Perry.
Evil Doer Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 i would say the two guys out there who have been most heavily influenced by gnr are matt shadows and josh todd. either one of them would be cool.

D.. Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 Chris Martin and Brandon Flowers... Are they considered "stars" or "people who make good music" in the US? Because over here in Europe, everyone knows they are pretty mediocre to say the least. It would be a shame if any of them inducted GNR, it was kind of painful seeing Axl introduce the Killers in 2006.The only worthy rockers of this generation that could induct GNR are Muse. Plain and simple. Matthew Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard. Those 3 and NO ONE ELSE. They are the last great rock band and even Slash acknowledged them as being the best of their generation. Don't know what Axl thinks of them but it amazes me that he thinks the Killers are incredible when Muse just blows them all upside down. Dead Star, Citizen Erased, Exogenesis, Knights of Cydonia, Shrinking Universe, Showbiz... such monumental hits... and it's only a small part of their hits, basically almost every song is a hit on each of their album (of course they have some garbage songs like Starlight, Map of the problematique, Resistance, and Undisclosed Desires -sadly all released as singles when they are lesser songs of the album they're from- but then GNR do have My World).Other than that, I'd prefer a major rock band to induct them, like Aerosmith + members from Queen (Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon), it would be very symbolic. That or Muse. No one else.
Eddie Money Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 I think Lars should do it. He's not a member of a newer band but he's articulate and has a genuine appreciation for Guns N' Roses. Like the members of Aerosmith, he's connected to more members than just Axl.

Like the members of Aerosmith, he's connected to more members than just Axl.Nahh, Lars is kinda douchy... The ideal scenario would involve either Steven Tyler, Brian May, Elton John or Lemmy. Angus Young would be nice but I doubt he'd do it. On a more possible scenario I'd go for Sebastian Bach, Zakk Wylde or maybe someone from Hanoi Rocks.
