NME has reported the LA times interview but included an extra quote that i dint in the LAT one.

"The only thing that would make it would be Duff and Slash, really," he explained.

"It's nothing against Izzy and it's nothing against Steven, or anything like that. Steven may want it, but these guys I’m working with right now, they work really hard and it’s hard work. I've toured with the other guys and I’ve also seen what they’ve done since, and I just know the difficulties. So it’s not really even a full reunion."

Everyone gets that he takes great pride in the current lineup, so even if people gave blank checks for reunion offers, people that aren't part of the Wenner Country Club already accept that Axl owns the name and aren't expecting a reunion tour. What happens when GNR still got platinum albums coming in, does he just throw it in the trash because "it's in the past?" It's a milestone.

No one's thinking a reunion tour is going to materialize. Even Wenner knows that's a pretty tall order.
