2000-2009 : The Decade in Music

Does anyone really read all these long lists?

Sometimes it's not a matter of having other people read it. It's about taking stock of your favorite albums, maybe remembering one you hadn't listened to in a while, taking stock of all the good shit you found. But I think you overestimate the time it takes to glance through these lists, too. It really doesn't take long, and it's cool to see what other people like, what tastes you share, and finding new music, too.

As a matter of fact, yes I have. I'm always looking for new music to check out, and this a great resource for that.

I like reading through people's lists especially the higher numbers, then if you see some higher numbered albums you don't know, but you agree with many others on the list, you might check out that album. I intend to check out Mayer Hawthorne's "A Strange Arrangement" and The Devil Wears Prada off the lists so far.

Cool, what did you think of Mayer Hawthorne? I know not everybody on here is into soul, but I think it's one of the freshest albums in a long time...

I also forgot one of my favorite albums of the decade; Thunder by SMV. SMV is Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten, a must-check-out for any bassists!
