Bumblefoot Appreciation Thread

The Wicked Hand

Recommended Posts

I just wanted to make this topic to thank Bumble for touring through the

Pain. Without his mental and physical toughness, there would have been no

US tour. Also I think he is the one who pushed for Estranged and Civil War.

So THANK YOU BUMBLE!

" you da man"

Not to mention his relentless, insane guitar talent.

Bumblefoot is, in my opinion, the most incredible person ever to have been associated with GN'R to date. Seeing him go up there and do his thing, and still manage to put on the show he did despite the pain was amazing. And then meeting him after the Hamilton gig, and seeing him off-stage where he can express the pain he's in, all I can say is "wow". It's 110% obvious that Bumble cares about the fans like no one else, and I really do believe we're what kept him going throughout this tour. He's the absolute nicest guy I've ever met besides Joey Belladonna, and I can't imagine a GN'R without Bumblefoot anymore.

I love the Bumble. I feel lucky as a Gn'R fan to have him in the band.

When I heard about his car accident, I was really worried and still am, and I hope things will improve for him.

He was such a trooper just touring anyway with that double neck guitar rocking the house in every show.

Fantastic talent and a class act. Thank you Ron!

Totally agree. IMO he is the most talented and best all around member of all time.

The way he is with the fans is truly something special and I just wanted to make this thread because BIGTIME credit is due and I don't think there has been enough thanks and praise going his way for following through under the worst circumstances.

I can't say this enough, Ronnie is the coolest nicest guy who truly cares about the fans. As one small example, at each meet & greet he always makes it a point to circulate the room and talk to everybody there while most of the other band members tend to stay in one spot and talk to just a couple people (not that there's anything wrong with that). He's definitely a guy I would enjoy hanging with if given the opportunity.

He is god.

Yea, pretty much my opinion as well.

Not only a truly amazing person but arguably the best guitarist walking on this planet - something that he wouldn't mind "sharing" with his great friend Guthrie Govan. A guitarist that can actually blow Govan's mind like nobody else is special. Possibly the nicest person i've ever got to "know" too.

Ron is for sure the best dude GNR has ever had. I thought he was a poor replacement for Bucket at first, but after seeing him the past 5 years and listening to his solo work, I feel he's the best player Guns as ever had. His actual playing is incredible, of course, but it is really his interaction off stage that makes him so great. He's so good to us as fans. He does everything he can to make up for the lack of communication from Axl and tries to make up for the years of silence from the Guns camp in general. The livestreams, the meet and greets before shows, his online interaction. It's great. No one else has ever been as helpful, kind, and appreciative of the fans as Bumble.

He might be my favorite person ever involved with GNR, including Axl. I'm so glad that GNR introduced me to him. I love is solo work. Normal is one of my favorite albums now. He's really been a great gift to Guns fans. I think a lot of us feel a closer connection to him as an actual person than anyone who has been in the band, especially those of us who weren't really old enough to be around during the heyday. He's a good dude. He's made a fan for life out of me. I hope he is able to make a recovery and not be in pain for the rest of his life. His dedication is pretty incredible.

Totally agree, Ron is the nicest person and has helped enormously with interaction and getting things done for the fans at the shows. His personality really shines through watching him on stage, handing his guitar to the audience to play and always seems happy to meet people afterwards for photos etc.

I only hope they come back here for a tour, it would be awesome to meet him and let him know how much he is appreciated for his friendliness and his great playing.

Ron - you should be proud of your involvement with Guns n Roses and hope your pain can be helped while taking a little time off from touring.

And if you dont appreciate what Bumble has done for the fans and the band this tour than, fuck off!

Much respect for Bumble. It broke my heart to hear about the pain he was dealing with and his concerns about his family while he was away (and I didn't even see the video). I respect the way he gutted through the tour, and I commend him for being so fan friendly. I had my reservations about this addition to the band back in the day due to my lack of familiarity with his music, but he's a hell of a musician and it really seems like he's a great guy. It doesn't seem like the success has gone to his head and I really hope it stays that way if bigger and better things occur for GNR going forward.

The foot is indeed the man. Ron Thal is one of the biggest factors that goes into making this lineup a real band. The interaction with the fans, the personality, his involvement in things outside of GNR, his large heartedness and his courage - these are all wonderful to see. I too cannot imagine Ron not being in Guns and it would be terrible to see him leave.

But, as things stand - we have an insanely talented lead guitarist in Guns N Roses who is awesome live and will I hope, contribute great new music to the GNR canon. Lots to look forward to. Thumbs up Bumble!
