volcano62
Maybe they’re just using their illusions. but Guns N’ Roses will reimagine Webster Hall in its former guise — the Ritz — for a special club show in that space Feb. 15. Though the club on E. 11th St. has been known as Webster Hall for more than a decade, it was the Ritz back when Guns N’ Roses filmed a sought-after bootleg there (“Live at the Ritz”) featuring its classic band lineup. That was 24 years ago and it was a very different band back then. Today, only lead yowler Axl Rose remains. Regardless, GN’R will employ the original Ritz signage at the club for their February show. Tickets for the gig go on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m. (presale), with a Wednesday start date for public sale.Read more: http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/music-arts/guns-n-roses-play-york-city-webster-hall-renamed-ritz-order-relive-history-article-1.1014063#ixzz1kxuNKpWLGN’R will play two other New York club shows in the lead-up to the Ritz performance: Feb. 10 at Roseland and the 12th at Terminal 5. This is the first time any incarnation of the band will have played those two venues. The group will also appear at the House of Blues in Atlantic City on Feb. 24. Tickets for all shows go on sale at gunsnroses.com, starting tomorrow.http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/music-arts/guns-n-roses-play-york-city-webster-hall-renamed-ritz-order-relive-history-article-1.1014063?localLinksEnabled=false

bionic56
I don't see what is wrong with Nostalgia, any 90's band would fill that role, it's called time passes by and Axl is 50 !!!!!!!!!! he can hardly be a new kid on the block now can he !!! Guest RonMexico82
I love Guns N Roses. Respect is something you earn and just as easily lose.
RandallFlagg
If it was a nostalgia act Axl would ring up Slash and old Stevie for a few bucks and a world tour or two, it'd save him a lot of abuse and weight on his shoulders surely? moreblack
still, renaming the place in connection with one of their most famous old school breakthrough gigs, sounds like trying to claw back some of that mojo from back in the day. It's good marketing.

dalsh327
Had a hard time finding a pic of the Ritz marquee. I'm sure in a month there will be thousands.
