ITW 2012
I forgot that they were both California bands for a moment.
wasted
Chilis are Point Break, Van Halen seem like Beverly Hills Cop. There's a few Strokes and Sonic Youth moments on I'm with You though.
ITW 2012
Van Halen is Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Basically the Chili's are Bodhi and Van Halen is Spicoli. Edited February 8, 2012 by ITW 2012
wasted
That makes more sense.
ITW 2012
I used to think that David Lee Roth played Eddie Murphy's friend who gets killed at the beginning of Beverly Hills Cop.
wasted
Ithink the chilis were in Point Break.I think it was the keyboards. Maybe Jon was a VH fan. He had tanks of fish.
ITW 2012
Anthony played a psycho surfer in Point Break. Flea was in My Own Private Idaho with River Phoenix. I think Frusciante probably was a Van Halen fan. Eddie pretty much influenced everyone who came after him. wasted
Jungle intro is very VH.Eminem was in The Dilemma? or Hall Pass.Actually it was Funny People. Now that I've cleared that up I need a drink. Charlie was in Wall Street 2.
wasted
It's there least rock album in a way. It's more like therir early stuff with some post rock touches.
wasted
When the solo sounds like an electrical vapor cloud rising I think post rock. Like Trans Am or Add N to X. But it might more like Strokes Angles in that there's an 80s vibe.
wasted
You could just call it experimental rock but tends not sound like rock traditional does in tone. Broadcast is another one. It's only a few times I thought, the keyboard and soundscapes in the back ground behind the slap bass and rapping lol
wasted
Chili ballads are the only ballads I like outside GNR. Like Brendans Death Song doesn't sound cheesy at all.Look Around takes me back that track on the Pretty Woman soundtrack.
Cosmo
Look Around is one of the best songs to listen to on your way to the beach. Ever.

wasted
I'm a Rain Dance Maggie fan. I just can't stop playing it. But there's a lot of funky little ditties on this album.
ITW 2012
It would be a good album to overdose on prescription drugs to.
wasted
Towards the end there you're slipping into a coma. You're friends might throw you in the bath on Meet me at the corner but you're be flatlining on Dance, dance, dance.
ITW 2012
I remember taking too many pills one time and it felt like my body was going numb. It was kind of scary actually, but I think it would have been okay if I was listening to this album. Yep, Brutus is the Slim Shady song.
