If Axl uses the HOF to promote a new album will recieve a lot of bad critics....

just imagine...

"Axl needs the old members to promote a new album"

"Chinese Democracy was a failure, and now...Axl Rose uses the old members to promote HER new album"

and a lot of stupid comments like this....

The HOF its a veeeeery bad place to announce or promote a new album

_______________

And about to campaign..... why not? +1

Let's them know that are a lot of people over the world supporting and waiting for a new album.

They could get Duff to play on a couple of songs, to sort of tie it into the HOF. But I assume there'd be legalities to work out having an old member appear on a new record given the past legal issues.

They'll put a new record out if/when they're ready to. Do we even know that there IS a new record? Have they been recording? For all we know there's left-overs from CD and not much else.

I wish they'd stop taking things so seriously. CD took 15 years to come out. It didn't change the world. It's great, mind you, but in the end it's just a record. Put something else out. It doesn't have to be epic, it doesn't have to be perfect. Every band has hits and misses. Who cares? Just make music you enjoy, put it out and see if others enjoy it. If they do, great, if not, fine, back to making music you enjoy. It doesn't have to be as complicated or difficult as it seems to be with this band.

I don't think Axls aware that anyone wants a new album so I'm sure this message will be a life saver for him

Yeah, we should probably also tell him to do some interviews and maybe get that Better video out. Maybe he'll pay us a management fee.

Another user (I think Chris Axl) was dead serious about that in early 2008 when he issued the same challenge for Chinese Democracy.

From what I recall Chris Axl was certain the album would come out and it did not (maybe in 06, when he went through a phase of having the biggest mancrush on Axl in existence and Axl had said 'this year' in some interview or other) so he in fact still owes the forum a video of him eating a glove.

Might be mistaken though.

I sent "Unleash the Red Panda!"

Now, someone give me a two second lesson on Twitter, cause I never use this. I just have to put "#NewGNRAlbum2012" somewhere in the Tweet and it'll go there?

the more word spreads about 'legend of the red panda' being the new album title (even if it is BS) the band would have to come out and deny it and then maybe we could get some genuine info on the follow up to chinese democracy, whether its CD2, LOTRP or something completely different. But maybe the band dont wanna confirm LOTRP because we will end up with a load of bands using the album title 1st or threatening to take it just like the dogshit boys, the offspring, kitty and the kowalskis, the ants and warrior soul

It really is sad what hoops GNR fans have to jump through to get an album update. For the record, this is probably the best idea presented thus far.

yeeeeah. twenty or thirty people online signing an e-petition should make a big difference. lol

you want an update? here it is .... umg will never give axl another penny to fund or support an album considering how bad of a let down chinese democracy was. not ever. if you want another album, you better be hoping that, at minimum, slash and duff are on it. otherwise, not happening. reality.

I sent the following to both Rolling Stone & Blabbermouth. If you guys have any other music news websites in mind, it wouldn't hurt to bring this to their attention.

Fans Rally For New Guns N' Roses Album

Dear Rolling Stone Editor,

The following is a story idea regarding fans rallying for the release

Guns N' Roses' followup album to Chinese Democracy. The youtube link

below shows it gaining steam among GNR fans and will, hopefully, garner

the attention of both Axl Rose and his label(s).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=upRgHa17Dnk

As early as 2002, Rose told excited fans that Chinese Democracy would

consist of a "trilogy" of albums. During his internet chats with fans

in December of 2008, he even hinted that the followup album might

surface "the same bat time, same bat channel possibly" the following

year, which would have been fall of 2009 if it had, in fact, been

released. During his chats he even openly discussed songs Soul

Monster, The General, and Atlas Shrugged. During these same chats, he

also confirmed the following song titles: Seven, Thyme, Quick Song,

Oklahoma and Ides of March.

However, since that time Rose has remained tight lipped about the

status of the next album, only stating in November of 2011 on Eddie

Trunk's That Metal Show that they need to find out where they stand

with the label before releasing new music.

With GNR being inducted into the RRHOF in April, I feel that bringing

this story to readers attention would help build momentum towards

another Guns N' Roses album, which, at this point could only help the

music industry.

Thanks for your consideration, and I hope to see this story posted in

some format.

That's great. I did the same thing and emailed UltimateClassicRock. Would be great if someone makes a report of this campaign, the label and the band would see it hopefully.

Maybe it's the label that dont want another GNR record, but if many people shows supports in some way and this begins to be reported then the label may think about it.

Exactly. We know Axl thrives on the positive support of his fans, and the label has to be made aware that there is still a big demand for another GNR album among the fans.
