Nosaj Thing
Horrible list.. And about Better.. I know there are alot of people here that are happy about but there is no way it is in the top 10 GnR songs.Uhm, it's an "essential list" which I think deserves "Better" has the song that probably identifies the new era of Gn'R. In a top-10 of best Gn'R songs, it would never have made it there though.
Lirosee
I'm too lazy to explain why I believe they picked these songs but I think this is the perfect list to know what GnR is about. :xmasssanta:

chevelle
That's fucking awesome that Better edged it's way in there. Probably my favorite Guns song these days.EDIT: The live version they picked is a bit brutal, though... Edited April 5, 2012 by chevelle

Probably my favorite Guns song these days.EDIT: The live version they picked is a bit brutal, though...They didn't pick good live versions for most of these at all. Still a pretty good list. Plenty more that I'd have to loved to see on it, but none of the ones they chose does not deserve its spot.

GnR Chris
That's absolutely ridiculous. They are inducting the real Guns N' Roses. As good as "Better" is, it shouldn't be in the top 10. That doesn't even make sense for them to post that. You could easily make the argument that all "10 essential GNR songs" are on AFD.Oh, absolutely. If it were my personal top 10, it would have some Illusions tracks on there as well. But looking at Appetite ... it plays almost like a "very best of" record. I mean, sick song after sick song after sick song.

It doesn't matter what the current incarnation is. They will never be remembered as Guns N' Roses, especially if all they do is keep touring in support of Appetite for Destruction. This is the only place on the planet where there is any sort of "new" Guns N' Roses support in terms of people actually thinking they're better than the band that made the name famous. On the R&R HoF website where they are inducting Guns N' Roses, yes, it doesn't make sense for them to have an essential list and include a song from a band that has nothing to do with the ceremony.
