MEXzilla
The album is just good nothing special or grand but I believe that's what slash was aiming for and as for the vocals it's a live or die situation Myles can can ruin a song or can be great. moreblack
that's what slash was aiming for Aiming is a fool's game, just write some tunes. It's up to the public if they accept the material or not. Being independent probably affords him even more freedom in that regard.
vaida
Today in a main stream news paper, here in the UK, they loved the album and awarded it 4/5While the album don't break any moulds, it does what it does very well. They mention the riffs, the vocals, a couple of excellent tracks, and mention fans of Guns N'Roses are going to love it.If I find time, I will scan the review. volcano62
http://beatsperminut...ocalyptic-love/sorry guys - love slash but just wasn't too keen on this record...The song opens with a classical-influenced arpeggio before launching into a riff reminiscent of a faster “You’re Crazy” from Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite for Destruction. It’s a a bit of a beast, and a reminder of what Slash is capable of when he stretches beyond his comfort zone. (I realize the irony of saying this after having just compared it to a song he wrote 25 years ago)Oh god
