Magnum Opus

What are some of our favorite band's magnum opus? Not necessarily the best selling song or the most well known song but, the masterpiece of a band. For GNR I think almost any fan can agree on Estranged. So how about some other bands/artists?

I'll start with these 2

Madonna - Like A Prayer

Muse - Exogenis Symphony (Parts 1, 2 & 3)

Honorable mentions to Knights of Cydonia & United States of Eurasia

MetallicA's Outlaw Torn - Creeping Death

Alice In Chains's Frogs - Would?

Soundgarden's Like Suicide - Slaves and Bulldozers

FNM's The Real Thing - OMG this is my one of my favourite fucking songs at the moment

RHCP's Especially In Michigan - Give it Away or Otherside, cliched, I know

GnR's Coma

Pantera's Floods - No way, Cemetery Gates man. By the time Floods hit, Phil could only dream of singing like he did on Cemetery Gates.

Megadeth's Holy Wars... The Punishment Due

Pearl Jam's Inside Job - Good tune, but Evenflow is a classic.

Nirvana's Heart Shaped Box - Pisses me off hard when people talk about Teen Spirit over this song

KoЯn's Here To Stay - Mr. Rogers. That whole "my childhood a failure" line fuckin really resonated with me for some reason - my childhood was fine.

STP's Plush - Adhesive, Silvergun Superman, And So I Know

Black Sabbath's War Pigs - Children of The Grave, but War Pigs a very close second. Love FNM's version

Well the band's out of those that I listen to.

Well, that's a great list too. For magnum opus, I was trying to get the most epic song out of each band. I love Cemetery Gates too, but, idk, I just love Phil's lower reach on Floods, not to mention the solo/out-solo.

Atlanta is amazingly beautiful whereas I consider tiny music my fave stp album atm and I fucking hate Seven Caged Tigers (works better that way with the short instrumentals bookending the album imo)

Chewie - one word for you on our discussion - GAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYTTTTTTTTTTTTEEESSSSSS.

Really? Not only do I think it's the best song on the album, but it's also my favorite STP song. I literally can't recall ever hearing someone say they didn't like that one
