Guest Len B'stard
Expecting Kurt Cobain to get appreciation from mainstream rock fans is always gonna end up badly. It either drags Cobains music into a world that it is not from or for to be misrepresented or it just flat out will not be appreciated or understood. Cobains in a weird little space, he doesn't have the comfort of the sort of integrity that he aspired to, at least for a time, that you find in artists like Mark E Smith or Thurston Moore. What Kurt Cobain was as an artist is forever lost because he never got his chance to get outside of rock n roll, where he belonged. He never quite got to be "done with rock n roll" and it's when he was done with rock n roll that, personally, i think, we woulda seen him do some serious out there shit, something like early PiL, i don't mean in terms of sound but that sort of experimentative approach. I mean, quite frankly, he was just putting out these beautiful fuckin pop songs and trying to work in elements from more abraisive artists, kind of easing people into shit. And he never fuckin got there...shame.It saddens me that those three albums are now forever how he'll be represented, i think there was more of the future in Kurt than people recognised. Not that there's anything wrong with those albums, they're fuckin' beautiful but...it's kinda like just having the first chapter to a book, y'know? But all in all? Shit, just feel sad for the boy. I ain't usually the type to behave that way but...i dunno, what can y'say? Krist said it best, he just shouldn't've done that.. RocketQueen1985
Nirvana was such a fun band. People tend to forget that. Their interviews always cracks me up. I especially love the bathroom interview

The_Universal_Sigh
Nirvana is in my top 3 bands of all time. It really is a tragedy he died when he did I could easily see him going in that experimental direction later in life or growing a thick beard and playing acoustic songs in his later years. You Know You're Right was such a shitty way to go out.... he went out with like his best song ever. How could anyone take their own life when they're in such a creative high? The Real McCoy
Cobain always came off as a pretentious snob to me.He always claimed that he hated the mainstream yet ran to it every chance that he could.Overrated. Sorry - my opinion.
Randy Lahey
I thought this was a brilliant song to go out on.

I ain't usually the type to behave that way but...i dunno, what can y'say? Krist said it best, he just shouldn't've done that..Yeah there was an interview with Stipe from REM saying Kurt was planning an album really mellow with acoustics and strings, that woulda been very interesting, the guy had a lot more to give. He clearly wasn't happy being the big riff loud chorus band but they were so fucking unique away from that tried and tested dynamic but many 'fans' ain't interested in anything else. The unplugged session was an absolute gem in that regard, such wide influences there too.
Vincent Vega
He was the original PC nazi ironic hipster so fuck him. One of the most overrated musicians ever. Jerry Garcia had more talent in his pinkie than Kurt Cobain had in his whole body. Edited June 23, 2012 by Indigo Miser

Axl is genuinely a loose cannon with some... problems, Kurt was a douchebag smack addict who felt like he was too cool for everything, great musician nonetheless
