WillieC
I have to say that I admire 3-Piece bands for their reliance on fewer players. Jimmy Hendrix, Nirvana, Rush, The Police, Muse. It takes a lot of talent to package a band together like that where they can still produce great songs live. I don't know why but it makes me appreciate the music more. What's your preference? Does it matter to you?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VX3cbFJ3lYUvs.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTD1QW3SM60For the record I have never really gotten into Muse. MEXzilla
I dig both but I choose multi-player bands more simply because my fav bands are multi-player bands like GnR, Aerosmith, AIC,Soundgarden.

chevelle
The Fall of Troy is another great trio. The guitar work is absolutely nuts, and it blows my mind that he manages to sing/scream while doing it.
Kill Devil Hill
I prefer multi-player entirely because I don't like the frontman to be hindered by an instrument strapped to him. That said, I'm a huge Rush and Nirvana fan. I saw Rush live last year, and it was one of the most brilliant concerts I've ever been to, second to GN'R.
