Vincent Vega
While there were a ton of grunge and post grunge bands around in the mid 90s ('94-'97), in the mainstream there doesn't seem to have been any major, new blues oriented rock bands that made it big. I'm talking about bands that played the same style of music as UYI era GN'R or Snakepit or Foghat or Aerosmith--Bands with that sort of sound, a dark blues sort of sound, that put out their first few albums in the mid 90s.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RsJS7ijSunILike that, sort of, but made in the 90s by bands formed in either the late 80s or early 90s. If you guys could name any, even if they were REALLY obscure, I'd appreciate it. Edited July 14, 2012 by Indigo Miser
moreblack
they weren't blues per se, I mean listen to their other stuff and it's prett much the most diverse out of any band at that time, but they had some strong blues elements, one of my(few) favorite bands from that era: Edited July 14, 2012 by moreblack

dalsh327
In the 90s? You had Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Johnny Lang making names for themselves. Blues Traveler were pretty big. Literally and figuratively. Ben Harper and Lenny Kravitz?
