Some movies are Nosferatu, Dr. Mabuse's series, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Metropolis, The Last Laugh, The Student of Prague, The Golem, Phantom. Given the choice i'd take the ol' Italian Neo Realism but you can't fucking deny the breadth of the influence of German Expressionism. Louise Brooks was so beautiful back in the day. <3I went through a whole German/Austrian expressionist phase when I was younger. No idea why.
