Rocket Queen moans

Is it really true that Axl fucked Steven's girlfriend at the time in the studio, recorded it, and put it in Rocket Queen (it's what we can read in Wikipedia)? If that's true:

1. What was Adler's reaction? Didn't he try to kill Axl?

2. Is it true that that's the reason Steven sank into heroin?

3. What was other's reaction (Izzy, Slash, Duff)? Didn't they censor Axl's behaviour?

4. Was she hot?

Yes it's true but it's not such a big deal. Adriana was very good friends with the whole band. Also she was a striper and a very sexual girl so she was not very shy. Steven was cheating on her anyway and the band knew it. Axl didn't just have sex with her for fun. It was something he wanted to do for the music. He tried to get Erin to do it but she wouldn't do it.

Steven may have been a bit pissed at first but I'm sure he knew it was cool and that it was not like they snuck off somewhere to do it. Also I wonder what Steven was doing in Los Angeles while his girl friend was in New York making some music with Axl.

This event had nothing to do with Steven's drug use.

I don't know what the bands reaction was but i'm sure when they heard the playback, they knew Axl made the right choice.

Yes she was hot.

Erin didn't want to do porn audio where no one could be sure if it was real or fake, but she was cool with doing the "It's So Easy" video?? Did you ever find out what Erin said or did when she found out Adriana banged Axl? I don't get how Axl could be so possessive of her and be a slut. I think in your book, one of the breakups was mentioned during one of the shows. Were Axl and Erin on the outs at the time he was recording the song?

I'm sure b/c of your association with the band, there were groupie offers, plus Steven seemed like the "sharing is caring" type, would you say he had it the easiest to hooking up with girls over the other guys, even before GNR? I think once the heroin infiltrated the band, it's kind of like what Tyler said about Aerosmith, they cared more about the dope than the girls, and by the time Aero & Guns hooked up and toured, Tyler was making up for lost time.

One of the greatest things that could ever happen is if there was a "Making of AFD" documentary, and included clips of Axl "directing" the session.

Did anyone in GNR ever borrow the video camera to make their own homemade movies?

And were you at the Kinison "Wild Thing" video shoot? The stories on that one were a room of out of control guys. Did you ever get to know Sam Kinison?

A couple of years ago I went to a very small & intimate drum clinic with Steven. He was lovely to meet and chat with. Anyway, someone asked him about this very topic and he said he didn't care at all - he said he had many girlfriends and wasn't worried about this at all. :)

Thanks everyone for the answers! Thanks, Marc, for your willingness in answering all these questions we're bringing up to you.

In the Wikipedia's "Rocket Queen" article we can read: [Adriana] Smith revealed in an interview that Adler "freaked out" when he discovered about the recorded sex session, and she spent some years using alcohol and drugs "because I had this extreme shame and guilt and stuff."[6] ("Filthy Sexy Cool". Rolling Stone Australia, October 2007, Issue 670. Retrieved 2007-10-08.) Apparently, it was her that started using drugs after the event, and not Steven (I made a confusion there). Anyway, who knows if she told the truth in that...

I used to go to the Rainbow in 1984 with Steven and after 20 minutes he would be gone. Hooked up with a girl and off they went.

That sounds like it can go from impressive to annoying, esp. if you just wanted to hang out with him...but def. impressive. Did you ever see famous girls hooking up with the band, but b/c they might have been jailbait or not want to be known as a groupie, would never want that out there?

The manager of the rainbow told me some cool stories about Slash. Do you have any for us?

Before we were 21 years old, Slash used to be able to mess with our ID's by using chock and a pencil to change the birthdate from 1965 to 1963

Ha, nice one... I remember the Manager telling me a story about one night that Slash had a fight with a girlfriend inside and threw the salt, or the pepper, into one of the stained-glass windows. He said he got upset at Slash at the time but in general he said Slash and Axl were nice young men ! You must of seen some interesting things Marc - those would have been crazy times hey ?
