Iron, can you imagine this happening between 1987 and 1993? If an assistant's son spoke out publically against a band member......how ballistic would Axl have become......

A member of the management team spoke out to stop rumours that the band had willingly endangered the crews' health by adding an extra show date. People who don't understand that this was the right thing to do are complete morons. I am sorry that this means many contributors -- and I use this word very loosely -- to this thread must be complete morons, but they are probably already aware of their shortcomings.

ugh this band can be such a cluster fuck

Nothing clusterfuckish here at all except for Bumblefoot deciding that it was a good idea to tweet claims that the band is endangering the crews' health. What Fernando did was a job well executed.

Well, well, well - maybe it wasn't Axl who told Ron that if he didn't apoligize he would be out of the band ---- maybe Fernando rang him and said "hey Ron, Axl says....." LOL

fernando's the BOSS

Fernando told Ron "my mom won't clean your toilet or fold your clothes...."

ahahahah hahaha hahaha hahaha hahaha

ROFL

Fernando thinks he's THE BOSS of gnr but we all know axl is the only boss in this band !!!!!!

Ron put his "opinion" on twitter therefore its public. The comment about how its no ones business is exactly what I mean by cult-like. Ron took his opinion to a social network and your basically saying he shouldn't have and should have kept his mouth shut. Which I don't understand why?

Ron interacts with his fans like normal people/vice versa and he should be able to say and do whatever he wants.

Everyone needs to vent. It seems no one in gnr is allowed to have an opinion. Everyone gets tired, grumpy, pissed off, frustrated, annoyed but they all act like everything is tip top and peachy. It was refreshing to see that Ron doesn't feel the need silence his frustrations and opinions. Which is exactly how I took it. Venting. As I'm sure everyone else did. I don't know who/what was causing drama or saying otherwise because it seemed pretty straight forward to me.

You got it.

I let you know good things going on, and sometimes what's weighing on my mind. I share the reality of my life with the freedom any person has - for those that may freak out by this, I'd like to suggest the following links, very helpful...

OK, all back to focusing on 36 great shows, great *all-of-you*, and whatever's next.......... :)

Thanks :)

Ron

whoever is "managing" GNR has done an excellent job. The tours have been great since they have been in charge. Anyone that says they are not qualified or not educated enough for the job have obviously not been paying attention.

If Beta don't know Axl by now than nobody does.

Agree - beta and her family have to know axl better than anyone.

IMO they are doing a great job - this tour proves that.

Now bring on CD2 !!!!

We all have good days and bad days and we all need to vent. I think that Ron´s words were the result of the heat of the moment and he is free to say what he wants. The problem is that he said it in the social networks, and yes, I know he is free to say what he wants wherever he wants BUT he is not new to the internet GNR fanland. He clearly knows that everything a band member says is overanalyzed and in most of the cases taken out of context and subject of speculations and misunderstandings. With this I don´t mean that he shouldn´t express himself freely through twitter of facebook but he should think twice before posting because the problem is not what he says but the way certain people interpret it and/or misunderstand it.

When a band or an artist cultivates a mystique, over analysis is going to happen. Bands like Aerosmith have no mystique, and the ones like Pink Floyd were just a bunch of regular guys (except Syd) that put more into presenting a multimedia show than they did on themselves. Syd was the mystique of PF, still is.
