Georgy Zhukov
Might as well. The Fourth film is when they go over the top and try to make money.I have long heard rumors of Indian actresses to be the next Bond girl. Remember that Indian girl who showed Bond his room in Octopussy? She was cute."Hey Bond, you do any gardening?"
DieselDaisy
The fourth one will decide the calibre of Craig's tenure I feel - for posterity. If Bond 24 is of the standard of Casino Royale and Skyfall, we can dismiss Quatum Of Solace as a mere 'temporary blip' and conclude that Craig has had the most consistant run at Bond since Sean Connery's masterful four film run (1962-65). Whatever else he does in 007 is an added bonus, but Casino Royale, Skyfall and one more excellent Bond is good in anyone's expectations. Another film of the quality of QOS however and Brosnan's legacy beckons (i.e. started great and went tits up soon after). I believe Craig can pull it off. Georgy Zhukov
Brosnan-135Moore-90Connery- 72 (not counting NSNA)Craig-27 (not including Skyfall)Dalton- 23Lazenby- 5These are the body counts of each Bond actor. Brosnan has killed a lot of people in his films. Especially in Goldeneye where he killed 47 people, more than any film. Brosnan was the 90's action star Bond. Mowing down baddies with machine guns. 135 is probably average in Rambo but for James Bond, that is a lot.

Silva + henchmen is approximately 15-ish probably, Patrice, 3-4 more henchmen on the island...am I forgetting any?
Georgy Zhukov
Craig has probably killed at least 10 in Skyfall. The third act seems to have piled up in bodies. I am going to guess around 30 total for Skyfall. You Only Live Twice has the highest body count with 196. Lowest was The Man with the Golden Gun with 6 total and one from Bond.Brosnan was mowing down dudes with AK's like it was nothing. Especially in the archives scene

Provided the next two are at least as good (if not better) than Casino Royale and Skyfall then you're right, Quantum is a small price to pay for an otherwise quality tenure in the role. Georgy Zhukov
The thought of Bond 24 is exciting. Could it be the next Thunderball? Moonraker? Die Another Day?
Powerage5
Thunderball. Craig can't jump the shark, nor make the worst Bond film. It's just...not possible
Georgy Zhukov
Not with Logan writing, unless he loses his mind like Paul Haggis. I don't think Craig would do a film like Die Another Day
Georgy Zhukov
Tomorrow Never Dies isn't that bad. Some poor casting choices. Not my favorite per-title sequences. Lots of explosions and CGI missile. David Arnold's score is way too over the top. John Barry may have named him successor but even Barry was never that over the top.
James Bond
With the talk of Die Another Day, what if they get Tamahori back to direct? The entire movie can be CGI. The first animated Bond movie. Daniel Craig can voice Bond for the rest of his life as his on screen character will never age. Perfect!I love Arnold's score for Tomorrow Never Dies. He relies on the Bond theme a little too much perhaps but I think he was trying to make up for GoldenEye. He really captured each location which was nice, especially considering the cinematography made it look like a television movie. The cues when they enter Saigon and Kowloon Bay are up there with Barry's best romantic cues. The parking garage chase is one of Arnold's better action cues from the Brosnan era. I like his use of electronics when Bond is snooping around the Carver building.
Georgy Zhukov
You ever watch the reviews posted on Haphazard Stuff? The guy complains about Brosnan and how they don't use locations. I think they did a good job using Saigon. Brosnan probably delivers his best Bond performance here. GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies and Die Another Day he seems to know what he's doing. I was going to watch TWINE but I've had no energy.I like how he used electronica for the German scenes because of German use of electronic music. Powerage5
TND is definitely the second best Brosnan movie IMO. I feel like it could've been a solid film if were tweaked just a bit. I like the plot, but Elliot Carver is my least favorite Bond villain by a long shot.
James Bond
I think they did a decent job shoving everything into this as it's one of the shorter Bond movies, including the use of the locations. I also think this might be Brosnan's best Bond performance. A little more confident and refined than GoldenEye. Almost casual, but it fits the tone of the film. It's like the Octopussy of the Brosnan era. It might not technically be the best film, but as far as pure entertainment goes, it delivers. Not a bad effort. There's a good feature on Bond music on the AVTAK DVD/Blu-ray where Arnold discusses his approach to the TND score. Really made me appreciate it much more. I used to think it was his second weakest next to the atrocious Die Another Day score.
Georgy Zhukov
It seems in GoldenEye he was trying to continue the serious Dalton approach and he humor was added on. Similar to The Living Daylights when the humor was leftover because it was intended for Moore. GoldenEye could have easily been a Dalton film. Also Brosnan looked really good. He must have been working out. Also helped he aged. Edited March 7, 2013 by Georgy Zhukov
Georgy Zhukov
I feel I am ready to make my list. Last time I forgot to mention The Man with the Golden Gun and I think I know where to place it. Just have to watch TWINE, DAD, CR, QoS and Skyfall
James Bond
I think Brosnan said before he worked out more for Tomorrow Never Dies. Not that he was in bad shape in GoldenEye, but you can definitely tell he's more fit and more believably agile. The more I watch Tomorrow Never Dies the more I like it. I enjoy it every time. I compared it to Octopussy but it might be better compared to TSWLM. Same plot once again, but equally fun and enjoyable. Is this the first time you've ever watched the films all in order? Georgy Zhukov
First time I watched all the films in order after Skyfall's Blu Ray release.Funny you should say it compares to two of Moore's extravagant films. I no longer see Brosnan as a mixture as Connery and Moore. He is a lot more like Roger Moore than Sean Connery. Sure he was suave and all, but so was Roger Moore. He could never be as cool as Connery.I think that is why many fans commit treason and say Craig is the best because he is a whole different class of cool. Dalton wasn't really cool, he had this brutality towards him but he also has this darkly romantic side that helps him get the girls. Moore and Brosnan are just all charm. Deadly but never like Connery. Only Craig has matched in coolness.Make sense?

Also want to see if Never Say Never Again is indeed worse than Die Another Day. Say what you want but DAD has the advantage of Pierce Brosnan doing a hell of a job. Connery looked bored. James Bond
I'm still undecided as to who I'd compare Brosnan too. There's mainly a mix of Connery and Moore, but probably more towards Moore. Stylistically though, Tomorrow Never Dies definitely fits in with the "fun" of the Moore films. GoldenEye is a Dalton leftover. TWINE tries to be OHMSS but keep the OTT action and becomes a real mess. DAD just sucks. Brosnan certainly had a unique tenure. I agree that Craig just oozes cool. He has a charisma that I honestly haven't felt since Connery as good as the others are.
Powerage5
I'd probably rank them as tied for worst, for different reasons. NSNA and DAD, that is.
James Bond
Pierce is one of the redeeming factors of Die Another Day. He's great in it.
Georgy Zhukov
TWINE was the second attempt for Bond to have a female love interest. Not the formula with the previous films but actual relationships. They try to sell that Bond is in love with Elektra and was once in love with Paris. I guess they wanted to attract females to see the films to show that Bond is not just a man whore. It was well established that Bond did what he could for England, he is not suppose to get emotional but I guess he slips up. It just didn't work.Connery could never get out of that tough cool guy role. To make him more human would have undone him. Connery's Bond (as much as he wanted to) could never have feelings. They were touched in Goldfinger with Jill's death and coming clean with Domino about her brother in Thunderball but no one can see him falling in love. They got some male model to do that. The rest of the Bonds have been more human but Craig manage to ooze that cool and fall in love only to lose that love. Pretty bold.
James Bond
Even Christopher Bray in his highly biased book on Connery admits that it would have been a strange development for Connery to do OHMSS and in retrospect he's glad it was Lazenby. That side of Bond wouldn't have fit Connery. It's hard to say though.
