Powerage5
I can see Daniel Craig staying on a little longer if they do a Blofeld trilogy. As long as they get back to films 2 years apart. Craig will be 47 next year, so if they stick to 3 years between films, he'd be 53 by the time the third Blofeld film would be out - that's getting into Moore territory. That said, Daniel Craig at 47 looks much better than Roger Moore did at 47, so who's to say he can't do it into his 50's.
Facekicker
As cool as a Blofeld return would be if they handle it right...I'd kind of like to see a new Bond too. Especially if they have Blofeld as a multi-film villain (which he should be)I think Craig can certainly do this film but another one after this might be a bit much IMO. Fuck it, just get Fassbender for christ sake!Fassbender vs Waltz would be epic! And I think we need to see a remake of OHMSS,A modern take on that Ski chase and the death of Bond's wife could be brilliant. Brosnan wanted to do it but it never happened. Well Craig is contracted for two more, so he'll be on at least through Bond 25. With the timetables they've been going on lately though, I think it's highly unlikely he'll be around beyond that. Georgy Zhukov
I would like to see someone younger after Craig's done with the role. I use to hate this guy but after watching Sherlock, I think Benedict Cumberbatch would be a great James Bond. He is ginger but you wouldn't known from his roles. Facekicker
He's a great actor alright but I can't see him as Bond. Definitely could see him as a villain though.
dalsh327
I think as long as Daniel Craig can stay in shape and does other movies that don't have "James Bond" overshadowing it, he'll keep doing them. He's still younger than when Moore and Brosnan started. Bows out in his mid 50s, the franchise gets a few years break and then keep it going. It's also going to depend if the owners of the franchise want to keep it going, but when these movies are making a billion dollars, it's hard to stop them. MGM threw a damn wrench in the franchise though.
DieselDaisy
Blofeld as head of Quantum (which will also return) in Bond 24. You heard it here first.
Powerage5
Blofeld as head of Quantum (which will also return) in Bond 24. You heard it here first. You have a source or just speculating? Either way it's pretty much exactly what I'm expecting. The Craig films are following the Connery films quite closely in pattern. First two about a shadowy terrorist organization (And somewhat or directly connected), third film drops the organization completely in favor of a lone villain (And is the most critically acclaimed by that Bond actor), then the fourth returns to the organization and sets up Bond's main nemesis. I also feel they need to return to Quantum to wrap up what was created in Casino Royale-QOS or Craig's tenure will look, messy, with this big incomplete story arc hanging over it. So it rather fits. James Bond
Since Craig was never marketed as the "pretty boy" type of Bond but more the physical type then I think he could realistically stay into his fifties provided he keeps himself in shape. He'll certainly look more believable than Moore! If the next two films do as well as Skyfall then I could see them wanting to snag him for one more. Remember that the only reason we had a three year break this time was to ensure that Mendes could direct but it could change back to two years after this one. Dr. Who
Any chance of the series ever returning to a more Connery era sort of tone? Like, midway between grit and camp? I'm talking about the tone of the first three Connery films, not the last three.

Dr. Who
If Jon Hamm was British, he'd have been the perfect Bond.

I'm talking about the tone of the first three Connery films, not the last three.I hope not. I love the darker Bond films.I like the new ones as well. I saw the Craig films for the first time a few months ago and they were awesome. But, I just think the dark and gritty trend in movie is kinda dying off, and not only that, but a series can grow stagnant going too dark. I mean, the Brosnan films got stale when they began to veer too far into camp territory. I just think in the Bond series there should be a balance between the campy side and the dark side, and I feel like the last two veered a little far to the dark side. Facekicker
The camp elements in Moore era Bond and Brosnan era Bond are cringeworthy.
DieselDaisy
I think they pitched the tone in Casino Royale and Skyfall, just about right. Those two have the direction I want to see in a modern Bond.
DR DOOM
Personally, I can't get into James Bond in the now- I wish they would make the movies period pieces.
DieselDaisy
There is always some new threat for Her Majesty's Government to fight. Yes, the Cold War might be over but now we have international terrorism. I actually think that is one of the good things about Bond. Every generation has their own Bond.
