Humans could be immortal by 2045

Recommended Posts

Nobody has brought up the subject of the human soul. I know the soul is probably seen more as a religious thing, but how could you transfer a human's soul into another being? Unless consciousness is being used synonymously with soul, I don't know how they could explain the logic behind doing that.

I need to come to Anything Goes more often!

personally, i don't think we have a 'soul' in a spiritual sense. just have higher intelligence than animals and are able to express more advanced degrees of sympathy and emotion. i think that's all in the brain, so if they could transfer a brain i don't think you'd find someone would suddenly, magically convey an inability to express emotion...would be VERY interesting though, wouldn't it? and would sorta be ultimate proof of whether we truly have a 'soul' in us... :nervous:

I love how the Pentagon apparently has a similar project in the works, but for military use. USA don't do shit if it isn't for the military.

yeah, soldiers being able to control robots with their brain.

this is trippy shit.

I read it properly: you're still not immortal; you get a digital copy of yourself made, which is immortal. Fuck this shit, why should my clone live forever when I'm dead??

This will be great for the growing population of Earth.

Longevity and fertility are inversely proportional.
