GET OFF AXLS BACK
Every day when I wake up I check all of my social media sites, I check the Internet for all the information I could possibly need. This morning I realised I have access to a fuck load of information and I'm not sure it's good.I remember a time when you watched a film and then spent weeks trying to work out where you had seen an actor before instead of IMDB. Knowing a film was coming out because there was a poster in the local video shop.I miss not knowing everything within seconds of knowing there is a question. Nobodys_Fault
I miss not knowing everything within seconds of knowing there is a question. DiscussI don't think this is because your over-saturated with information, it's more likely because your brain knows you can find that info in seconds with Google so it doesnt bother remembering it."The Google Effect" is a real thing. With increasing dependency on the internet we now have the tendency to forget information that we could easily find by just googling it. So instead of remembering the actual information, we just remember where to find it.
ColdHeartBreaker
When faced with a problem, "google it!" is often the response. I think there's no such thing as having too much information, I think what we can do in a simple few clicks is remarkable. If anything we should be striving to intake more information.
