Do you think the Vegas shows will sell out?

I think the Halloween show should have been more elaborate and charged more, because that's a big party weekend. Maybe they can do a costume contest at the Hard Rock and winners get backstage access and a meet and greet. At least they'll be able to put hot chicks dressing slutty who paid to go see the band in the front (or on stage, off to the side) and not a bunch of hired models who'd rather be texting their friends.

Oct 27 at the HRC is the Fetish and Fantasy Ball, wonder if Axl's going to be checking it out and be in costume.

People consider Hard Rock "off the beaten path", but I wonder if they're going to have some GNR themed exhibit that month.

That would be interesting. I wonder how Axl will handle having Slash's old jean jacket and tophat in a display case as a promotional tool.

Lots of people by tickets the day of the show for things in Vegas. That is the whole premise of all the tix4tonight outlets. Discounted tickets for that day's (or sometimes the next) shows. That is what we always do. Sure if some people are set on going to a super popular show like Garth Brooks they will buy them ahead of time. If they discount, then they might actually have a chance at selling out shows...unlike most of the recent U.S. shows.

12 shows @ 4K per show is 48,000 tix... if the medium ticket price is $50 that 2.4 mil in tix sales. I would say the stint will be profitable for everyone and at the end of the day thats all that matters. The Joint is not a fly by night company and Im sure they did some research on how many shows would work and bring in a profit. This is a good time of the year to be in Vegas as well so I think it will be very successful

It would be hard to expect to sell out ALL 12 when you're playing in the same place for a month. Either way they'll do well.

The "same place" in this case is Vegas, a major tourist destination.

People coming and going everyday.

In the end it's actually about food sales, drink sales, room sales, and -most of all- increased traffic on the casino floor. GNR's guarantee is probably higher than what the ticket grosses would normally allow.

That's just my guess.

let's just take a moment to reflect on the cumulative surreality of this discussion... we are speculating as to whether or not guns n' roses will be able to sell out the 4K seats at the vegas residency booked by thier housekeeper. imagine if someone had told you this in 1991.
