DirtyDeeds
Anyone hear anything about Van Halen lately? Several months ago, they announced they were canceling the rest of their tour to take some sort of a break and regroup, and David Lee Roth made announcements assuring everyone that the band was NOT breaking up, and that they would be rescheduling the rest of the tour, but he could not go into specifics about why they were taking a break. He only mentioned, rather vaguely, that part of the reason was that they wished to take a break before tour fatigue set in. As usual, their website doesn't have shit on it, so there is no info there. Anyone know anything?
Zeppelin
I think they're doing some select shows in Japan and Australia, rescheduling the tour for NA in 2013 and doing something special in the US but no one really knows what that is yet. DirtyDeeds
Well if this is all because of the Super Bowl, then I forgive them.I hope Wolfie is ready for something like that.

First of all let me say this — be still my pigskin heart. That honor has not been bestowed upon us at this time though it is one we would accept in a NY minute.Having heard VH blaring through stadium speakers on any given Sunday – more like every given Sunday, the idea of playing there live would be like – ‘okay, now we're in the game'.Van Halen's collective memories are – and with all due respect to each and every one of these memories, teeming with been-theres and done-that's, but none include playing at the Superbowl. Playing at the Superbowl is a veritable holy grail of musical recognition, a highly prized rite of passage for (game-changing) artists. Not a spiritual rite with snake pits or Hebrew school or anything, but it's up there. We are not on Commissioner Goodell's dance card at this time, but we would be most honored to dance the halftime away in New Orleans. It's an honor to be considered and for that we would like to thank the rumormongers all over the World Wide Web.- D-RoJun 2012http://www.usatoday.com/life/music/news/story/2012-06-12/eddie-wolfgang-van-halen/55556296/1"This record took a lot out of us. And we went on tour earlier than we wanted to so we could play Madison Square Garden (in March, before a renovation), and that threw the schedule out of whack...a lot of the canceled dates were in cities we already played...So in November, we'll hit Japan, and in the new year, we'll possibly do something special, but I can't talk about it." - EVH

Majestic Beast
I think all this project with the reunion seems for some reason not so enthusiastic, the new album has already forgotten,i don't know what's the problem. Edited September 1, 2012 by Majestic Beast
James Bond
This is from around the tour postponement, from Ed and Wolf: I assume that's before Ed got sick. Hopefully it's a speedy recovery. This will be good for Dave too. Hopefully he can rest his voice and come back strong next year.

That's all. The album is killer, stands up to any of the original six they did.

Definitely one of the best comeback albums an established band has released.
